DOT And Mystery Manila Launch Gamified Virtual Tours Featuring Local Tour Guides

“Where in the Philippines is Sam San Mateo?” is an online mystery tour of the Philippines organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and Mystery Manila. Actual tour guides, stationed in select locations across the country, lead the game through video streaming in the gamified virtual tour.

DOT-Mystery Manila-creator of a buzz Participants can take on the role of virtual tourists, visiting notable locations and attractions in the Philippines in search of clues that will lead them to the next destination and help them track down Sam San Mateo, the game’s fictitious travel vlogger.

From the comfort of their computers, visitors may explore the beauty and charm of the Philippines’ 7,641 islands, including historic cities, breathtaking sunsets, picture-perfect beaches with crystal clear oceans, and magnificent mountain views.

The highly interactive 60- to 90-minute trip will immerse players in the next best thing to real travel, allowing them to see and remember why #ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines. For a unique and interesting experience, players can connect with locals through live tour guides, participate in local events, and contribute to decisions that will effect the tour’s result.
