Seoul’s HiKR Ground: Experience Korean Culture Via Interactive Exhibit

Seoul is a cosmopolitan city that offers diverse culture and adventure. HiKR Ground, the new interactive experience centre in Seoul, is the perfect place to visit if you want to enjoy Korean art, music and history. If you’re looking for an interactive way to learn about Korea or want something different from the typical tourist attractions in Seoul, this location has something for everyone!

derived its name by combining the words ‘Hi’ and ‘Korea’ with the concept of a playground. It is a promotional space that utilizes Extended Reality in a novel manner (XR). Everyone is welcome to tour the facility and utilize everything HiKR Ground offers.

Things To Do At HiKR Ground

Together with KTO Global Supporters, we visited which is known as a state-of-the-art interactive experience centre with exhibits that let you enjoy music, art, and information about Korea.

Located near Gwanghamun Gate in Seoul, the space is filled with technology geared toward the younger generation, including innovative technology applied to diverse Korean content, including Hallyu, arts, and more.  Klook.com

HiKR Wall: Dive into the World of HiKR

The “HiKR Wall” is an extra-large media wall that is 31 m long and 5 m high located on the first floor. It provides vibrant videos of tourist attractions in addition to K-pop, K-drama, and other content.

The ‘Landscape of the New City‘ by media artist Leenam Lee, which depicts Mokpo, Busan, Jeonju, Andong, and Gangneung, is also on display.

K-pop Ground

Hallyu enthusiasts can access ‘K-pop Ground‘ on the second floor. At Korea’s only XR Studio, ‘My Stage,’ visitors can create music videos from over 100 backgrounds using XR technology, which is expected to be very popular with tourists.

The second floor also features live studios that use extended reality technology and several picture zones inspired by K-pop music videos. The coin laundry room was featured in BTS’s “Permission to Dance” music video, and the spaceship was inspired by Aespa’s “Next Level” music video. Visitors can put their dancing abilities to the test by participating in a dance game and performing on stage.

HiKR Art Museum: K-Art

K-Art is a special exhibition on the third floor of the ‘HiKR Art Museum‘ that features Korean artists’ reinterpretations of traditional Korean themes.

Osang Gwon was the first artist to exhibit Hallyu and festival-themed artworks, as well as a piece focusing on Korea’s five national festivals.

The ‘Dramatic Trip‘ section details where Hallyu media productions, such as Netflix originals and K-dramas, were shot.

HiKR Cave. & Festival Experience Hall

On the fourth floor, the ‘HiKR Cave‘ and ‘Festival Experience Hall‘ are multi-experience zones where guests can engage all five senses through various themed attractions.

HiKR Lounge

The “HiKR Lounge” on the fifth floor offers tourist information services in four languages: Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese.

HiKR Challenge

Guests can complete a trip-related task using a roulette as part of the ‘HiKR Challenge‘. There is also a small cafe with a terrace with views of the Cheonggyecheon Stream, making it the perfect spot for a photo shoot or simply relaxing.

HiKR Ground is located in Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. Whether you’re visiting Seoul or live there already, HiKR Ground makes for an excellent day trip destination!
