Filming begins in Berlin, the spin-off of La Casa de Papel presents a new band of the “David Copperfield of robberies”

At a press conference in Madrid today, Netflix announced the start of filming and the new cast of Berlin, a spinoff of La Casa de Papel which follows the most extraordinary heists by the character played by Pedro Alonso.

This character has proven he can survive death, limbo, hell, the dark side, and the light side. With these words, Pedro Alonso referred to Andrés de Fonollosa, also known as Berlin, who is one of the most charismatic characters in “The paper house” and whose own series is about to begin production. Cast members include Michelle Jenner, Tristan Ulloa, and Begoa Vargas. A work of fiction with which Netflix continues to expand the universe of the worldwide phenomenon ‘The Money Heist’

During the press conference, its creators Esther Martnez Lobato and lex Pina stated, “Berin’s character has the most dazzling personality to exist in another universe. We adored the concept of introducing a new gang in a completely different emotional state around Berlin.”

Pedro Alonso (La casa de papel) reprises his role as the hedonistic and intelligent Berlin in this production. Alongside him, his new gang: Michelle Jenner (Isabel) portrays Keila, an eminence in electronic engineering; Tristán Ulloa (Faria) embodies Damián, a philanthropic professor and Berlin’s confidant; Begoa Vargas (Welcome to Eden) portrays Cameron, a kamikaze who lives on the edge; Julio Pea Fernández (Through My Window) embodies Roi, Berlin’s loyal

During the press conference, Pedro Alonso revealed the first line of the series’ script: “There are only ten things that can turn a bad day into a good one. The initial is love. In reality, this was not the case. My third wife had recently divorced me… The second prize is worth over ten million euros. However, it was not the case. We planned to steal the link to a much larger heist; today’s theft was simple. If you are having a bad day then you might bring a miserable to his knees and aim for his head.”

The eight episodes of the series will be written by David Oliva, David Berrocal, Esther Martnez Lobato, and lex Pina, and directed by Albert Pintó (Sky Rojo, Malasaa 32), David Barrocal (Sky Rojo, La casa de papel) and Geoffrey Cowper (Day Release).

The series will begin filming on October 3 in Paris and will take place between the French capital and Madrid for several weeks.
