NCT 127 Delivers Breathtaking Performances At Their First-Ever Solo Concert ‘Neo City: The Link Manila’

NCT 127 held their first-ever solo concert in Manila. The guys brought their A-game and showed the crowd they’re the real deal, delivering jaw-dropping performances during the Link Tour concert.

NCT 127 is back with a bang as they brought the heat at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday night, September 4, 2022. The South Korean boy band’s solo concert was a night to remember as they unloaded their considerable talent and energy.

The NCT sub-unit, made up of Taeyong, Taeil, Johnny, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan, gave an explosive night of all-out performances for their Filipino fans. The sold-out concert titled NEO CITY: MANILA – The Link did not disappoint!

Filo Czennies warmly welcomed the boys in hot-hot Manila and showed them how much they had been waiting for this concert by giving their unwavering energy and passionate cheers throughout the 2.5-hour show.

There is no denying that NCT 127 has become one of K-pop’s hottest boy bands. From their first release in 2016 to now, they have shown remarkable growth and achievement as a group.

The boys have performed in fan meetings, live stages and front of millions of people worldwide every day since they debuted in 2016. And this time was no different from any other concert for them.

The arena went wild as NCT 127 entered the stage in impeccable all-white outfits. They kicked off the concert with electrifying performances of “Kick It” and “Lemonade“,

The boys gave the audience a fantastic time with their performance. They performed ‘Simon Says’ in a high-energy way that got the fans singing and dancing along with them.

The deafening cheers grew even louder as NCT 127 displayed their flawless vocals and choreography for “Elevator“, “Dreamer“, and “Love Song“.

Fiery Solo And Unit Stages

After hyping the crowd with group performances, the solo and sub-unit stages started with Taeil’s “Another World” performance. This was followed by Haechan and Taeil’s “Love Sign” duet, a showdown of supreme vocal talents.

Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, & Jaehyun came back on stage for a dance performance of “Run Back 2 U” while the whole arena sang and danced with the boys to “Highway To Heaven” and “Breakfast“.

The crowd was chanting Mark’s name as he performed “Vibration” and burst into loud cheers as Taeyong enthralled everyone with his solo performance of “Moonlight“.

The dynamic duo joined forces for a mighty “The Himalayas” performance.

Mid-concert, Jungwoo energized the crowd with a heart-stopping performance of “Lipstick”, followed by the boys drawing the crowd in with “Focus” (Johnny’s surprise sexy solo dance performance!).

“I CAN’T BELIEVE IT’S OUR FIRST TIME TO PERFORM HERE. I’M GOING TO BE HONEST, WE’LL PROBABLY HEAR YOU WHEN WE GO HOME.” – JOHNNY.

Jaehyun mellowed down the vibe with his soulful vocals for “Lost“. Meanwhile, the crowd chanted Doyoung’s name as he serenaded the fans with “The Reason Why It’s Favorite“, followed by a stunning group performance of “Favorite (Vampire)“.

Kings of the Stage

Proving they are kings of the stage, Taeil, Doyoung, Jungwoo, Jaehyun, and Haechan also showed their vocal skills when they displayed superb vocals with the songs “The Rainy Night“, and the ballads continued as a group with “White Night” and “Back 2 U (AM 01:27)“.

After that, it was time to pump up the crowd again with “Bring The Noize” and the much-anticipated stage performance of “Love On The Floor“. Ending the set was Yuta’s ethereal solo performance of “Butterfly“.

“It was really a great time. I’m a bit sad because it’s just one day. Next time I hope it will be two to three days. Thank you so much for your passionate cheers, We’ll come back here with better performances,” said Doyoung.

In more casual street-style outfits, the group went back on stage for refreshing performances of “Paradise“, “Touch“, and “Love Me Now“, then fired up the crowd even more with “Cherry Bomb” and “Sticker“.

A Promise To Be Back

NCT 127 gave an incredible encore with “Dreams Come True” and “Promise You” to conclude this dream-come-true concert perfectly. The group countlessly thanked their Filipino Fans for their support and promised to reunite soon—hopefully next time for a 2- or 3-day show!

NCT 127’s concert was successful, especially for fans drawn to dance and rap music. Their performance was dynamic and crisp; their presence on stage was seamless. They moved around in perfect unison to deliver captivating dance numbers and rap bangers.
