Netflix Has Renewed The Sandman , Ensuring That Neil Gaiman’s DC Comic Will Continue With New Episodes
When the Sandman, also known as Dream (Tom Sturridge), the powerful cosmic creature that oversees all our dreams, is unexpectedly caught and held captive for more than a century, he must travel across multiple worlds and eras to restore order.
The Sandman began on August 5, 2022, and was lauded for its realistic translation of the renowned Neil Gaiman comic book series about Dream, a god-like figure who governs over the realm known as the Dreaming.
Tom Sturridge portrays Dream alongside Boyd Holbrook, David Thewlis, Jenna Coleman, and Gwendoline Christie, among others.
The first season consisted of ten episodes that were based on comic book stories. A two-part, special eleventh episode was released two weeks following the broadcast of the first season.
