Press Release
At Sogo, There Are Several New Standard Hotel Features

Experts believe it would take longer for the world to fully recover from the effects of this deadly coronavirus. As the country prepares to ease up after nearly three months of Enhance Community Quarantine, Hotel Sogo stands up for their version of the hotel industry’s “new normal.”

Hotel Sogo is taking a variety of steps to ensure the security and safety of its guests and employees once they resume normal operations.
The employment of ultraviolet (UV) lamps in disinfecting around its facilities will be at the top of its priority list, with the procedure from check-in to meal ordering reinforced to ensure that their facilities are as clean as possible.

UV (ultraviolet) lamps are extremely effective at disinfecting surfaces. Bacteria, germs, and viruses are all killed by its beams.

Distancing from others in the workplace and in congested locations such as the canteen.

Cleaning and disinfection of rooms and bathrooms using a UVC disinfection light array cart. UVC, with wavelengths ranging from 200 to 270 nanometres (nm), has been shown in studies to kill microorganisms, germs, bacteria, and viruses. UVC has been widely employed in recent years, and it is also used to disinfect hospitals since it kills germs and microbes.

Hotel Sogo ensures that its employees are protected from the virus by providing them with vitamins to build their immunity as well as customised PPEs.

It will prepare them to serve its guests by using these.

Staff at Hotel Sogo undergo medical examinations and Covid19 testing to ensure that they are free of the virus, and that the employees, not only the facilities, are in good health and ready to resume normal operations.

Guests do not need to be concerned during their stay at Hotel Sogo because temperature checks, transit through a disinfecting tent, and the use of a disinfecting foot tray are all required.

The provision of hand sanitizers in common spaces, as well as social separation from the check-in procedure through elevator use to their rooms, are tightly enforced.

To protect guests and personnel, facilities are renovated and updated, such as adding a glass panel divider on top of the front desk.

Hotel Sogo’s ‘new normal’ video playbook has all of this material. The footage has been shared with relevant government agencies such as the Department of Health (DOH), the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and the Department of Tourism (DOT) in the hopes that it will serve as a benchmark for other comparable enterprises before they reopen.
