OneRepublic Live IN Manila 2023 Square

OneRepublic is an American pop rock band that got together in 2002 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ryan Tedder sings lead and plays multiple instruments. Zach Filkins plays lead guitar and viola, Drew Brown plays rhythm guitar, Brent Kutzle plays bass and cello, Eddie Fisher plays drums, and Brian Willett plays keyboards and violin.

The band had its first commercial success on Myspace as an unsigned act.

OneRepublic played shows all over the Los Angeles area in late 2002. Several record labels were interested, but the band chose to sign with Columbia Records’ imprint Velvet Hammer. During the summer and fall of 2005, they worked with producer Greg Wells to make their first album at his studio, Rocket Carousel, in Culver City, California. The album was supposed to come out on June 6, 2006, but Columbia fired the group two months before the album came out. “Apologize,” the first single from that album, came out on April 30, 2006, on Myspace. It went to number one on the Myspace charts.

OneRepublic, led by the mysterious Ryan Tedder, has made some of the most popular and memorable pop songs of their generation, like “Apologize,” “Stop and Stare,” “Rescue Me,” and “Counting Stars.” The band’s new single, “Someday,” came out on August 27, 2020. The same day, the video for the new song also came out. The album has songs that have already been released, like “Run,” “Somebody to Love,” “Wanted,” “Better Days,” and “Rescue Me,” which has been given an RIAA Gold certification.
