Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines is a trusted brand that offers a wide variety of superior health care, home care, beauty, & grooming products (PCUP).

During the Urban Poor Solidarity week’s first-ever PWD Assembly & Senior Citizens’ Assembly, P&G contributed over Php 650,000 worth of P&G hygiene & home care items, benefiting urban poor communities in Quezon City, Mandaluyong City, & Masbate Province.

“P&G Philippines continues to be one of PCUP’s driving forces in ensuring that less fortunate families in the country are able to live a little more comfortably despite poverty and destitution. “Without the support of P&G Philippines, the Urban Poor Solidarity Week 2022 event would not have been a success,” PCUP Undersecretary Elpidio Jordan Jr.

In terms of policy formation and program implementation, the PCUP has been the direct interface between urban poor and the government since 1986. It is entrusted with organizing programs such as the PCUP Caravan and the PWD and Senior Citizen’s Assembly in order to provide underprivileged populations with access to basic needs and services, thereby empowering them.

According to PCUP, in addition to food and medicine, proper cleanliness is a need. Access to products that improve health, home, cleanliness, and daily living empowers the urban poor, and P&G’s product donations assist in meeting this immediate need.

In addition to encouraging adequate hygiene education and access to P&G’s hygiene and daily living goods, the initiative introduced PWDs and elderly citizens to the many programs and services of partner agencies that they can utilize in times of need. This comprises health, legal, educational, job, and housing services, among others.

“Making a good impact has always been and will continue to be central to P&G’s business. Through PCUP’s programs and projects, we are able to provide Filipino households with access to our goods and promote health and cleanliness” Raffy Fajardo, president of P&G Philippines
