For a more knowledgeable and healthier self, the new Galaxy Watch6 series offers tailored health counseling, thoughtful design enhancements, and an improved mobile experience.
The new Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic from Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., are intended to support customers in developing healthy routines day and night. The Galaxy Watch6 series features a smaller bezel, a larger and more brilliant display, and a more dynamic user interface. It also offers powerful performance and holistic health features. Both versions give customers access to a wider variety of adaptable watch faces and fresh band choices that enable them to achieve their objectives.
Samsung Electronics President and Head of Mobile eXperience TM Roh remarked, “With the new Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic, we are delivering on our goal to democratize advanced health monitoring capabilities, now giving easier access right from the wrist. “Samsung is offering new and practical ways to assist users in understanding and acting for better health and wellness, day in and day out, from sleep and fitness coaching to nutritional insights.”
Personalized Advice for a Healthier You: Sleep is the First Step
The Galaxy Watch6 series offers individualized and practical ideas, advice, and encouragement to help users always make great changes. Recognizing that better sleep is the foundation of better health, Samsung is assisting users in optimizing their nights in the same way they do their days by focusing on three essential components of better sleep: understanding individual sleep patterns, forming better habits, and creating an environment that is conducive to sleep.
The Galaxy Watch6 series now includes an in-depth analysis of Sleep Score Factors, including total sleep time, sleep cycle, awake time, and physical and mental recovery, to help users understand their sleep quality each night. This feature builds on the watch’s cutting-edge sleep and wellness functions. Each morning, customers receive detailed feedback about the quality of their sleep through more personalized Sleep Messages5, which were created in collaboration with the National Sleep Foundation. The Galaxy Watch6 also features a selected Sleep Animal Symbol that represents the user’s preferred sleep style and Sleep Consistency, which displays how constant the user’s sleep and wake hours are.
With personalized instructions, advice, and reminders that are accessible on their wrist and associated smartphone, users of Enhanced Sleep Coaching6 can put sleep insights into practice. The Galaxy Watch6 can assist in creating the ideal sleeping environment by automatically adjusting the settings of connected home electronics and activating Sleep Mode on the user’s watch and phone to mute notifications, dim screens, and even activate the watch’s invisible LED infrared sensor to deliver important health insights without further light distractions.
To keep consumers engaged along their journey, fitness features become more tailored. Body Composition, which includes important physical measurements like skeletal muscle, basal metabolic rate, body water, and body fat percentage, offers a comprehensive picture of the user’s physical condition and fitness. Through a new partnership with Whisk, it also offers a tailored approach for setting goals, monitoring progress, and guiding through individualized fitness and nutrition advice.
In order to let users establish their own goals based on their ability, from fat-burning to high-intensity workouts, a new tool called Personalized Heart Rate Zone assesses each user’s physical capabilities and sets five appropriate running intensity levels. Along with the more than 100 already available workout trackers, the recently launched Track Run records users’ runs on a track. Custom Workout enables users to create and monitor their own unique workout routines.
While exercising, standing stationary, or sleeping, if users fall out of bed, Fall Detection can measure a fall. When a fall is detected, your watch will immediately notify a pre-selected contact list or the emergency services.
Elegant Design, Totally Yours
The Galaxy Watch6 series features brand-new designs that improve the wearable experience by offering better vision, more power, and a more comprehensive range of more adaptable and comfortable options3.
The 20% larger display, which features more text and a larger keyboard while remaining comfortable, makes it easier to read and write. Users can see and accomplish more even in direct sunshine thanks to a more colorful, higher-resolution display3 with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits and an Always On Display brightness adjustment feature. The speedier processor and memory enable smoother and quicker interactions on the Galaxy Watch63.
The rotating bezels of the Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Classic are 30% smaller and 15% thinner, respectively, improving the appeal of the recognizable circle frame. The Galaxy Watch6 series offers new fashionable, interactive, and educational watch faces that maximize the size of the display, and new one-click bands make it simple for users to combine and match watch bands. For instance, a new, lightweight Fabric Band and watch face with Sleep Coaching work ideally together to give you comfortable informational sleep insights.
To accommodate its bigger and brighter display, the Galaxy Watch6 series has a larger battery and lower power usage. Users can add eight hours with just eight minutes of quick charging, making it ideal for tracking sleep during the night.
Making the Most of Your Experience From the Wrist Up
Every user’s wrist now has more capabilities thanks to the Galaxy Watch6 series. Users of the Galaxy Watch can utilize WhatsApp to stay in touch with friends and family without having to take out their phones. With the release of new Google Calendar and Gmail apps this fall, users can stay productive right from their watches thanks to Wear OS. With improvements to Peloton and MyFitnessPal, they can also more easily track their workout progress or nutritional data, and soon they will be able to take advantage of Audible’s expanded streaming options. In addition, a new Skin Temperature API, which is a component of Samsung’s
Partners using the Privileged Health software development kit (SDK) will soon have access to cutting-edge infrared technology for more precise measurements, opening up an entirely new range of potential applications for customers. Thermo Check, a recently released app, uses the new API to enable users to contactlessly gauge the temperature of their preferred meal or the ocean before a lap swim.
The Galaxy Watch6 series broadens user experiences even more when used in conjunction with other Samsung devices. Thanks to the improved Camera Controller, a connected Galaxy Z Flip5 camera can be remotely controlled to change modes, angles, and zoom. An interactive fitness or mindfulness application on a Samsung Smart TV or Galaxy Tab S9 displays the user’s real-time progress. The connection of the Galaxy Buds2 Pro can also be switched between Samsung devices automatically using Auto Switch. Users of the Galaxy Watch6 series can now utilize Find My Phone with map capability to locate their phone should they happen to misplace it.
And as always, the Samsung Knox security platform keeps the watch’s personal data safe.
