The Balikan.ph website is part of the Department of Tourism’s “Balikan ang Pilipinas” campaign, which encourages OFs and OFWs to return home for the holidays and rediscover the Philippines with their families.

“Through the balikan.ph website, we can provide our Balikbayans and their families with fantastic travel bargains from airlines and DOT-accredited hotels, resorts, and tour operators.” “This is one way to make their journey here more reasonable and enjoyable, especially after the pandemic’s extended isolation,” Puyat added.

The balikan.ph page is an information aggregator where different travel specials and packages are presented for returning Balikbayans to consume. They will be directed to the merchant’s websites to learn more about the specials and discounts. The packages were put up in collaboration with the Philippine Tour Operators Association Inc. (PHLTOA), the Philippine Hotel Owners Association Inc. (PHOA), and the Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International Inc. (HSMA).

Balikbayans are invited to visit the website on a regular basis to see the most up-to-date list and specifics of travel discounts. The campaign is expected to last until March 2022.
