In front of the background of Chungryeongsan Mountain, The Garden of Morning Calm displays the splendour of Korean horticulture. Visitors can stroll through a thick forest of pine nut trees and a profusion of flowers in special gardens. The garden’s 20 themed parts are connected by lovely walkways and was inaugurated in May 1996 by horticulture expert Han Sang-kyung.

The Korean Peninsula-shaped Sunken Garden is covered in lovely flowers on both sides, symbolizing the wish for South and North Korea to be united. It is undoubtedly one of the garden’s most well-liked and significant attractions. About 5,000 different plant species, including 300 indigenous to the Baekdusan Mountain, which the Koreans regard as a sacred mountain, are housed in the garden.
