The Mandalorian Primer: What You Need To Know Before Season 3 Debut On Disney+

Prepare for another season of cosmic adventures from everyone’s favorite space couple, bounty hunter Din Djarin and Force-sensitive orphan Grogu, in the highly anticipated third season of The Mandalorian, premiering on Disney+ on March 1, 2023.

The previous two seasons have gained praise from critics and are liked by both new and veteran Star Wars fans. While exploring the galaxy with Grogu, The Mandalorian must connect with old allies and fight new adversaries as the New Republic battles to maintain peace.
Before the start of the new season, there are a few things that you and your fans must know to get up to speed.
The story so far

The first season of The Mandalorian focuses on the eponymous character, a space bounty hunter (Din Djarin) who accepts contracts to murder or capture people. He is charged with tracking down The Child/Grogu, a strange child. After seeing The Child, The Mandalorian makes the decision to
flee and refuse to honor the commitment. This results in a quest that becomes a struggle for survival as they attempt to bring down The Client, the individual responsible for putting up the contract.
Moff Gideon, a former member of the once-dominant Galactic Empire, becomes an enemy as a result of this. The Mandalorian and the Child founded a new clan before embarking on a trip to discover the latter’s true origins.
In the second season, the adversary kidnaps Grogu. This results in a spectacular rescue and a battle between Din Djarin and Moff Gideon, which results in Djarin obtaining the Darksaber and saving Grogu. At the conclusion of the second season, Grogu desired Jedi training. The man then bids Din Djarin an emotional farewell.
Grogu’s origin and powers

Grogu is one of the greatest stars of the show. In the second season, we discovered more about his talents and origin story. Ahsoka Tano disclosed both his name and his past as a Jedi in training. Grogu also becomes more at ease with his skills and abilities, even assisting Din Djarin in combat. These powers include telepathy, telekinesis, healing wounds, calming creatures, and even disguising his own abilities to protect himself.
While the second season revealed more about Grogu’s background, the identity of those who saved him as a child remains a mystery.
Who shall claim the Darksaber?

The holder of this fabled sword from Mandalore, Din Djarin’s home planet, can claim the right to rule the planet. Realizing the weapon’s potency, he has the option to stake his claim. However, one of his trusted comrades, Bo-Katan, is Mandalore’s legitimate successor and requires the Darksaber.
In The Mandalorian Season 3, Din Djarin and Grogu will embark on new adventures; catch them on Disney+ on March 1, 2023.
