The Manila Hotel Has Reopened Its Dining Outlets

Under Metro Manila’s current community quarantine limitations, the Manila Hotel’s two restaurants, Lobby Lounge and the legendary Café Ilang-Ilang, are now open to serve dine-in visitors. The reopening of both locations will allow visitors to enjoy wonderful food and their favorite dishes, as well as connect and meet with colleagues and friends in vast dining rooms while preserving social distance.

Fresh air dampers at the Manila Hotel flow fresh outdoor air that has been cleaned by air micro filters into the outlets, ensuring that cleaner and higher air quality is circulated within the indoor dining set-up. Improved cleaning, regular disinfecting, and safety standards are also in place, as well as social separation.

The Lobby Lounge, which offers free Wi-Fi to meals, is an ideal space for meetings and get-togethers. The lounge is also a terrific spot to have a hearty meal from breakfast to supper, and it’s already decked out in Christmas décor to bring some much-needed joy and a spirit of optimism in these tough times. It has also taken on some of the hotel’s most popular dishes from Red Jade, the hotel’s signature Chinese restaurant. Local delicacies such as Kare-Kare, Crispy Pata, and Sinigang na Salmon are available, as well as chow mien, dim sum baskets, and crispy Lechon Macau with Yang chow fried rice. The menu also includes drinks, a cocktail of the month, and snack favorites such as the Filipino High Tea, Merienda Especial.

Café Ilang-Ilang brings together Italian, Filipino, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and even certified Halal meals under one roof for an Eat-All-You-Can feast for those who have missed the multitude of international and local food selections. There’s also the popular carving station, which usually has Lechon and US Roast Beef; the Churrasco station, where you can have choice meats and fish grilled for you while you wait; and the Cold Station, which has seafood, cold cuts, and salads galore. The Dessert Station is always the sweetest last stop, with artisanal ice cream in a variety of flavors, Puto Bumbong and Bibingka, fresh fruits and pastries, and more.

The Manila Hotel’s Lobby Lounge and Café Ilang-Ilang are happy to greet guests, despite the fact that seating capacity is still restricted. The Manila Hotel is only authorized to accept fully vaccinated visitors between the ages of 18 and 65 till further notice, as per the IATF requirements for GCQ Alert Level 4 for Metro Manila; it continues to follow routine safety precautions in accordance with the DOH and IATF rules.

The Lobby Lounge is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m., and supper is served at 5:30 p.m. at Café Ilang-Ilang.
