As the heat of summer fades, the cool air of autumn brings vibrant colors to the mountains and parks across Korea. This year, the first signs of fall foliage will appear at Seoraksan Mountain on September 30, followed by Jirisan Mountain on October 13, Hallasan Mountain in Jeju on October 14, and Bukhansan Mountain on October 17.

Peak viewing is expected from late October to early November, with Seoraksan and Jirisan reaching their best colors around October 23, Hallasan on October 30, Bukhansan on November 4, and Naejangsan on November 11.

In Seoul, top spots to enjoy the season include Gyeongbokgung Palace, Seoul Forest, Olympic Park, and Seokchonhosu Lake. The Stone Wall Path at Deoksugung Palace and the Myeongnyundang Lecture Hall at Sungkyunkwan University are known for their golden ginkgo trees.
Beyond the city, travelers often visit Hwadam Botanic Garden, Nami Island, and The Garden of Morning Calm for peaceful autumn views.

Other scenic destinations include Bobaljae Pass in Danyang, the Ginkgo Forest in Hongcheon, Jangtaesan Mountain in Daejeon, Baegyangsa Temple in Jangseong, the Metasequoia Road in Damyang, and Bulguksa Temple in Gyeongju.
