Lee Hyeri Lights Up Manila with Her First Fanmeeting in the Philippines
Lee Hyeri brought sunshine and bright energy to Manila as she graced the stage for her first-ever fanmeeting in the Philippines, part of the 2025 HYERI FANMEETING TOUR <Welcome to HYERI’s STUDIO>, held on July 26, 2025, at the New Frontier Theater.
Her dedicated fans braved the rain and flocked to the venue early to witness the charm and wit of their beloved singer-actress, who first debuted as a member of the girl group Girl’s Day before making a name in acting through standout roles in Reply 1988, My Roommate Is a Gumiho, and the recently concluded Friendly Rivalry.
Hyeri kicked off the fanmeeting with an explosive entrance, performing a cover of aespa’s “Whiplash” that instantly hyped up the crowd. She later returned to the stage to properly greet her fans, saying, “Hello Manila, this is Hyeri. Nice to meet you.” She also shared that she had long wanted to visit the Philippines and had been looking forward to the fanmeeting.
Hyeri’s Game Face: On
A series of fun missions awaited Hyeri in Adventure Land. She kicked things off by acing Mini Basketball, earning cheers from the crowd. Next was Badminton Goal, where she joked, “Is this the Olympics?” after seeing another sports-themed challenge. This time, luck wasn’t on her side.
In Mini Punch, Hyeri scored 608 during practice but missed the mark in the official round. The final game, Bills Game, had her transferring over 90,000 won using spatulas while her eyes were closed. Amazed by her effort, she exclaimed, “Wow, this is Manila power!”
After acing the games, Hyeri treated fans to a nostalgic performance of Girl’s Day’s 2014 hit, ‘Something’—one of the night’s most memorable highlights.
Hyeri also played a claw machine game during the Lucky Arcade session and successfully caught stuffed toys within a minute. As a reward, she posed for photos, allowing fans to capture the moment as she wore a sunflower-designed bandana.
Hyeri’s Q&A Wit
Hyeri came back to the stage and delivered a dance performance, which was quickly followed by a Question and Answer session that revisited her past acting roles. The session was filled with fun and wit, as Hyeri answered questions like which foot Deoksun injured during an episode of Reply 1988, what Pilseon’s student ID number was in the movie Victory, what her character Jaeyi said to her sister to bring back their childhood memories in the series Friendly Rivalry, and more.
Prior to the show day, the promoter asked fans to send in their questions for Hyeri. One question asked, “If you could go back to the time when you were filming Reply 1988, what would you have liked to tell yourself back then?” Hyeri responded, “If I go back to ten years from now, I’ll tell her, ‘You’re going to be a star because of this work. So make sure to meet lots of fans.”
Another fan asked, “If Jaeyi had a secret diary, what do you think she’d write on the last page?” referring to her character in Friendly Rivalry. Hyeri answered playfully, “If it was Hyeri’s diary, I’d write ‘Season 2’,” which drew loud cheers from the fans.
Hyeri’s Genuine Love for Fans
Hyeri took a moment to read some messages written by fans on the message board. “Mahal kita!” “Enjoy Manila,” and “Hyeri Supremacy” were just a few of the heartfelt notes. She also cheerfully learned several Tagalog phrases, including “Mahal kita” (I love you), “Kumusta?” (How are you?), “Walang uuwi” (No one’s going home), and “Sana all.”
Not long after, Hyeri stepped down from the stage to get closer to her fans, creating warm and personal interactions up close.
She also got emotional watching the video project prepared by her lovely fans. Fans chanted, “Iiyak na ’yan,” which came true as Hyeri teared up right after. “Sometimes I think, am I worthy to receive this kind of love?” to which the fans responded with a loud yes. She also praised the fans’ reactions all throughout the show and said, “This is the best reaction ever.”
For her final words, Hyeri expressed her gratitude to the fans. “Honestly, I really wanted to meet Manila fans, and meeting you guys, I’m really, really happy. Thank you so much.”
This fanmeeting was a mix of heartfelt words, laughs, and love from both Hyeri and her fans—a night to remember and a moment to cherish forever.
