Windy Hill In Geoje Island Korea

If you’re looking for some relaxing adventures in South Korea, you may check out the Windy Hill on Geoje Island. It is located at the southernmost tip of each island city. Geoje is an hour’s drive from Busan.

Take note that If you’re traveling from Seoul or driving down the east coast, it might be easier to visit Geoje from Busan. In fact, there’s a lot to see and do in Geoje, and the regional tourism site is a beautiful place to start if you’re planning a longer trip.

It wasn’t easy to get parking in this area. Just before the stairs that lead to the top of the hill, there are numerous tourist stores and eateries. Windy Hill’s primary tourist attraction is the wooden windmill at the top.

Windy Hill is a manicured cliff that overlooks the sea and the national park’s tumbling mountains. A steep and quick climb reaches the wooden windmill. To be honest, the views from this vantage point are just breathtaking. The wooden windmill was idolized by the majority of Koreans, who couldn’t get enough of it. Two major K-Dramas were filmed here, which may be one of the reasons for their popularity.

The Dopojang village was quieter and ideal for long views of the windswept hill. When taking photos of the houses or individuals in such areas, remember to speak softly and respect the locals. Make sure to ask for permission first.

[Bus + Taxi]
From Seoul Express Bus Terminal, take an express bus to Gohyeon Bus Terminal.
From Gohyeon Bus Terminal, take a taxi for approx. 45 min.
