After a decade, South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun reunited with his fans in an intimate fan meeting on May 14 held at the ICE BSD City.

His last visit to Indonesia was in 2014 for a fan meeting titled ‘2014 Kim Soo Hyun Asia Tour 1st Memories’ held at Skenoo Hall Gandaria City. The Korean actor is known for his roles in K-drama series, ‘Dream High’, ‘It’s Okay Not To Be Okay’, ‘The Producers’ and ‘Moon Embracing The Sun’, to name a few.

Since 2010, I’ve been an avid fan of Kim Soo Hyun, and he has been my #1 favorite South Korean actor. That is why my fangirl heart is so brimming with excitement when I discover that I am one of the winners of the Y.O.U. Beauty Philippines Giveaway!

Imagine the first time I saw him after 11 yrs in M.O.A. Arena; I was in tears of joy when he went out on the stage during his 1st fan meeting in the Philippines. He’s been my inspiration to keep going in life c:

Kim Soo Hyun ‘Nice to Meet You’ Fan meeting in Jakarta

Let’s look at what happened during Kim Soo Hyun‘s intimate fan meeting in Jakarta last Sunday.

The actor instantly felt the warmth and hot passion of fans when he step into the stage . Kim Soo Hyun greeted the audience, saying, “Selamat sore. Saya Kim Soo Hyun. (Good evening. I’m Kim Soo Hyun),” he said in Indonesian.

Kim Soo Hyun admitted this was the first time he had visited Indonesia after 10 yrs. He shared that he was astonished to see his Indonesian fans gathered for the Y.O.U Beauty Indonesia fan meeting at ICE BSD.

He asked the crowd who went to his 1st fan meeting in Jakarta last 2014 and some fans raised their hands and Soo Hyun teased them and said “you lied” as he laughed.

During the first segment of the fan meeting, Kim Soo Hyun shared that he is filming his upcoming Korean drama “Queen of Tears”, which will air later this year.

Soo Hyun also recommended to give question about his MBTI but he said he himself he did not know.

When he was asked what’s his current hobby. Soo Hyun revealed that he enjoys playing golf, cycling and hiking. “But lately I’ve been playing golf more often”, he stated.

Moreover, he also shared that once his current project is done he wants to visit Bali and try nase goreng and gado-gado, since he is on currently diet.

Kim Soo Hyun played alongside five lucky fans during the True or False segment. The fan who answered inaccurately was asked to leave but he encouraged them to remain on stage until the end of the game.

Even though this is his second trip to Indonesia, Kim Soo Hyun is overwhelmed and says, “This is my 1st after ten years, so I am thrilled and excited”. He also shared his skincare routine, which includes eating healthy, resting well, exercising, and consistently applying skincare.

The next segment, “Cheesy Pickup Line for Oppa,” is no less thrilling than the previous segment.

Three fans were chosen randomly to come up on stage and present Kim Soo Hyun with an acrostic poem whose first letters are Y.O.U. Suddenly, the fan’s behaviour and Kim Soo Hyun’s reaction, which consisted of uncontrollable laughter, amused the crowd.

The South Korean Actor Kim Soo Hyun also spoke several Indonesian sentences. He said, “Hai, apa kabar? (Hi, how are you?)” “Apa kamu sudah makan? “(Have you eaten? “Apa kamu bahagia hari ini? (Are you pleased today?),” “Aku juga bahagia dan senang karena bertemu kalian di Jakarta (I’m also happy to meet you in Jakarta) & “Aku akan kembali lagi ke Jakarta ( I’ll come back to Jakarta again).”

The night was concluded with a fan project video and photos with all the fans. Soo Hyun also noticed that one of the lucky fans who came to the stage during the 1st part of the fan meeting is also the same person in the fan project.

He said, ” I don’t know if I’m wrong or not but one of the fans in the video mesage is the lucky fan who made it to the stage earlier right?“

It was definitely a heartfelt Sunday to remember with Kim Soo Hyun.
