The giant of cardboard boxes Robert Gair dominated this area to such an extent that the various buildings he owned collectively became known as Gairville. However, tea and coffee customs also arrived here: not only were these drinks manufactured, but people also adopted novel purchasing and consumption practices. How did this former New York manufacturing district, complete with opulent loft apartments and excellent coffee shops, transform into a contemporary American IT center? It’s different from other neighborhood gentrification and repurposing stories. It was once an industrial powerhouse but has since evolved into a tech and art center. Brooklyn families who have moved into the area’s growing number of high rises also appreciate the neighborhood.

DUMBO’s active creative environment and varied mix of residents and businesses have contributed to the area’s unique historic-meets-modern vibe. Though the streets are busy on weekends due to its popularity as a top tourist destination, you can also enjoy excellent dining, vintage shopping, and relaxing by the seaside here. DUMBO, an acronym for “Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass,” is a neighborhood located along the East River shoreline in the borough of Brooklyn, New York City.

Its neighbors are Vinegar Hill to the east, Brooklyn Heights to the south, the Brooklyn Bridge to the west, and Brooklyn Bridge Park to the north.

The DUMBO Manhattan Bridge View is located on Washington Street, which passes through DUMBO Brooklyn, New York, between Plymouth Street and Water Street.

Option 1: Go to York Street on the orange F Train. This station is the closest to DUMBO Manhattan Bridge View.

Option 2: Use the blue A or C trains to reach High Street and the Brooklyn Bridge. Walk to the Manhattan Bridge View in DUMBO in seven minutes.

As soon as you emerge from either station, you’ll find cobblestone streets; there will be signs pointing you in the direction of the viewpoint.

You can take a taxi which can be quite expensive, but I highly recommend or Uber/Lyft straight to “Dumbo—Manhattan Bridge View.” If you’re coming from Manhattan, the views as you cross the Manhattan or Brooklyn Bridge will be breathtaking.

I can also recommend going to DUMBO by crossing the Brooklyn Bridge. It offers broad views of the New York City skyline and the East River.

When is the best time to see DUMBO’s Manhattan Bridge view?

This street is busy, so if you want a photo or video of it without any people in it, you’ll need to get there early. If you go at sunrise, there will be fewer people there, so I recommend going earlier in the day.

The busiest times are during the day and on weekends, but exploration is still worthwhile at all times. The line can be long since there are tourists all over the world waiting for their photo to be taken. The second challenge would be the incoming vehicles that would drive through the view would right be in the middle of the busy street.
