Squid Game 3: Final Chapter Begins With High Stakes and Deep Betrayals
Netflix’s global hit Squid Game returns for its third and final season, picking up in the aftermath of Season 2’s brutal cliffhanger. Seong Gi-hun, better known as Player 456, is at his lowest—grieving a friend, reeling from betrayal, and caught in a game that refuses to end.
With the remaining players forced back into even deadlier rounds, each decision carries more weight. Gi-hun must face new challenges that test his limits, while the consequences of every choice become harder to escape.

In-ho resumes his role as the Front Man, preparing to welcome the returning VIPs. His brother Jun-ho continues his search for the hidden island, unaware that someone close may not be who they seem. As both brothers move forward on opposing paths, the tension builds toward a final confrontation.
Series director, writer, and executive producer Hwang Dong-hyuk confirmed the continuation of the story in a heartfelt letter to fans.
“I am beyond excited to be writing this letter to announce the date for Season 2 and share the news of Season 3, the final season,” he wrote. “The fierce clash between [Gi-hun and Front Man’s] two worlds will continue into the series finale with Season 3, which will be brought to you next year.”
Hwang, who made history at the 74th Primetime Emmys® as the first Asian to win Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, returns once again to guide the story to its conclusion.
Squid Game Season 3 features returning cast members Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and a strong ensemble that includes Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Jo Yu-ri, Chae Kuk-hee, Lee David, Roh Jae-won, and Jun Suk-ho. Park Hee-soon makes a special appearance.
As you navigate the twists and turns of Season 2, keep watching. Season 3 promises more revelations, more choices, and a final showdown that will bring Squid Game to a close.
Coming soon to Netflix.
