EXO’s KAI Brought the Heat to Manila with His KAION Solo Concert Performance

EXO’s Kai brought his 2025 KAI SOLO CONCERT TOUR to Manila on July 27, performing to a packed crowd at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The night marked a return to a familiar venue, the same stage where he performed with EXO in 2017. But this time, all eyes were on him. It was a meaningful stop for both Kai and the fans, as the venue held personal significance. He pointed out how young he looked then.

Kai opened the concert with Sinner, launching into a set filled with both his popular singles and deeper tracks. The setlist included Wait On Me, Peaches, Rover, and Mmmh, along with Adult Swim, Domino, Hello Stranger, and Bomba. Each performance showcased his precision as a dancer and his ability to control the stage with minimal effort. In Slidin’, he used a book as a prop while kneeling, moving with restraint rather than theatrics.

The EXO medley stage was a key part of the night. Kai danced to My Lady, Baby Don’t Cry, and Angel without vocal backing. Fans took the lead and sang the lyrics on their own, creating one of the more emotional moments of the show. He paused after to thank them, saying, “Your singing, your cheers. I’ll give you a score of 100 out of 100.” Throughout the concert, Kai shifted smoothly between charm and subtle humor.

Before the encore, fans waved their light sticks and joined in a coordinated dance challenge, keeping the energy up until Kai returned to the stage in a black cap, glossy jacket, and open shirt. He ended the show with Bomba and Rover, set against bursts of fire from the stage and non-stop cheers.

As the night came to a close, Kai expressed heartfelt thanks, “Some of you have been with me from the start, others joined later. But it doesn’t matter. Our love just keeps growing”. He asked the audience to stay with him not just now, but 10, 20, even 30 years into the future. “Whether we see each other next at a Kai concert or an EXO concert, promise me we’ll meet again.”
