Concert Recap
G-DRAGON Brought ‘Übermensch’ to Bulacan and It Felt Like Coming Home
G-DRAGON made his long-awaited return to the Philippine stage on May 17, 2025, with his ‘Übermensch’ World Tour at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. It was his first concert in the country in eight years and marked a milestone as he became the first male solo K-pop act to headline the massive venue.
It was a reunion with the one and only King of K-pop, G-DRAGON. The moment the lights dimmed and the opening notes of “POWER” filled the air, everyone stood up. No hesitation. Every section of the arena, every age group, every fan — we were all on our feet, hands in the air, lightsticks waving in rhythm. From that first song to the very last, it never stopped feeling like something special.

The setlist blended old and new. Hearing songs from Übermensch alongside timeless tracks like “Crooked,” “Heartbreaker,” “This Love,” and “Untitled, 2014” brought back memories for many of us who grew up with his music. He also gave us something new — a powerful remix performance of “TOO BAD,” debuted live for the first time in the Philippines.
But what made this night unforgettable wasn’t just the music. It was G-DRAGON himself.
He looked different — more relaxed, more present, more free. You could feel it. When he spoke to us, you knew it wasn’t scripted.
“Today, I feel really really happy to see you again (after 8 long years). It feels really — unexplainable happiness. I feel good. You guys are amazing.” G-DRAGON
He repeated it more than once. You could see it in his eyes. He meant it. And we felt it.
During the encore, he came back not once, but twice. He stayed longer. He didn’t rush offstage. And when he performed “IBELONGIIU,” with confetti falling and the entire arena singing back to him, it was clear how much the moment meant — not just to us, but to him too.

Then came the closing performance. “Untitled, 2014.” The lyrics, the voice, the crowd — all of it came together in a way that was both quiet and powerful. A full-circle moment.
He left fans with a promise:
“BIGBANG will come back… but not today… TODAY, you’re mine.”
“I WILL COME BACK AGAIN SOON!” G-DRAGON
We believed him.
G-DRAGON’s return to the Philippine stage reminded fans why they had waited eight years.
This was a night we’ll carry with us — a reminder of how music connects us, how artists grow, and how even after years apart, some things — some people — are worth waiting for.
Welcome back, GD. You were missed. And we’ll be here when you return.
