Rising OPM Artist Jan Roberts Drops “Tanaw” and Gears Up for Upcoming Tour and Headliner Event
With three songs charting on Spotify’s Top 200, multiple new releases, an upcoming tour, and his first-ever headlining event, Jan Roberts is having a breakout year.
Hailing from Bicol, Jan first gained attention on TikTok, where his heartfelt performances and relatable songwriting attracted millions of views and an active fanbase. A performing arts graduate, he began writing music during the pandemic in 2020 and quickly found an audience through online busking sessions on Discord. Since then, Jan has steadily carved his own space in the local music scene.
His breakthrough came with the viral success of “Sagip,” which peaked at #3 on the Spotify Philippines Viral 100 and has now surpassed 24 million streams. The song’s simple guitar melodies and raw, emotional lyrics resonated deeply with listeners, establishing him as one of OPM’s most promising young artists. Following that, his single “Hirap Kalimutan” reached 500,000 streams on Spotify, with its lyric video trending at #23 on YouTube during its first week of release. Recently, Jan achieved another milestone when “Hirap Kalimutan,” “Sagip,” and “Patalang” all entered Spotify’s Top 200 at the same time, further solidifying his growing influence in OPM.
“Sobrang mixed emotions hindi ko minsan maramdaman kung ano yung dapat ko mafeel sa bilis at dami ng nangyayari, lalo na this is my dream and passion,” Jan shared about his journey. “Hindi ko pa rin maabsorb na wow ang dami na pala talagang nakakaalam ng songs ko at sobrang thankful ako sa lahat ng sumusuporta saakin. Walang katapusang pasasalamat. Masaya ako ngayon sa journey ko.”
Jan’s latest single, “Tanaw,” gained 100,000 streams in its first three days. The heartfelt waltz tells a story of enduring love that remains constant no matter what happens or who comes along. With warm, timeless melodies and tender lyrics, “Tanaw” captures the feeling of dancing with someone you will always choose. “Kahit lumipas ang panahon at kumupas ang ganda, ikaw pa rin ang tanaw sa dulo ng mga alaala,” Jan said about the track.
An advance screening event for the “Tanaw” music video will take place on October 17, 2025, at Backspacer Records in Pasig, where select fans will get an exclusive first look before its official release on October 18, 2025.

Fans outside Metro Manila will also get the chance to see Jan live during his “Gabay Tuwing Naliligaw” provincial tour, which will visit Pampanga, Laguna, Batangas, Nueva Ecija, Cavite, and Rizal. The tour will lead up to his first headlining concert on November 29, 2025, at 123 Block, Mandala Park, Mandaluyong City, where he will also launch his official merchandise.
