LUTO NI MAMA started selling pasta dishes and pastries since 2015 and officially registered the name these 2020by sisters Leih Maruss and Luisa Maria. The name was chosen as the name to honour the owner’s late mother, who inspired them and got them to love cooking. Their mother would often encourage them to cook until she passed away at 50 years old in 2015.

The store logo of Luto Ni Mama consists of the orange and symbolic for the two sisters as it is a reminder of their first apron, which their late mother personally designed and sewn for the owners. With the help of their designer friend, they put everything in the logo to inspire and motivate them. It also reminds them how and why they started this business. Like many others who have professional jobs, both sisters lost their jobs due to the pandemic. Both worked as a teacher and nurse, respectively. For them to earn extra income, they decided to cook for LUTO NI MAMA full time and, at the same time, keep their mother’s memory alive. Most of the food prepared at LUTO NI MAMA has inspiration through the sister’s travel, and one of them managed to attend a Korean Cooking class as well.
