Top 5 Moments at Jang Ki Yong’s fan meeting in Manila

South Korean actor-model Jang Ki Yong delighted his fans with a “Beautiful Day” fan meeting in Manila on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at SM Aura Samsung Hall. This also marks the last stop of his fan tour in Asia.

It was an evening filled with entertaining experiences and fan interactions with the real-life star of “The Atypical Family.” We sincerely think it is also a cutieful day with Kiyong’s charm and top-tier fan service. Here are the top five moments from the event:

Remarkable Entrance

It is common for concert and fan meeting attendees to meet and wait for the artists to appear on stage. But this magical and most-awaited event starter, our eyes were directed at Kiyong who entered the venue at the back door, allowing more proximate greetings to fans. He even gave his fan in a wheelchair a high five, which makes the gesture so heart-warming.

Then, four fans were called on stage and for this special moment – they were the main characters with the K-Actor. Roars filled the venue as each could recreate scenes from the Korean Drama, “The Atypical Family.” Not only is this unique event preserved in their memories, but the artist also gives them a Polaroid picture to commemorate the occasion.

All Hi Touch for fans

Fans gotta take one for the team as they’re challenged with Ki Yong with three different challenges: stack the chairs, kick a sipa, and jump rope. Success is within the reach of the attendees thanks to their loud cheers as well as Jang Ki Yong’s positive support and competence. All were ecstatic mood as all of the fans were given the chance to see him up close and give high fives, a brief interaction that will surely touch our hearts forever. 

Actor, model, and all-arounder

Honestly, what can the six-foot gentleman can not do? There’s no denying that Kiyong not only serves brilliant acting and stunning visuals but also ethereal vocals. Our hearts swooned with so much adoration as he performed four songs starting with the opening of “Thought of You” by John Park and “I Love You” by Position. 

In a light blue casual button-down and beige pants, he also serenaded the crowd with 

Twenty Five Twenty One” by Jaurim and his original song “Paradise Tree” from the OST of “Come and Hug Me.”

Also, we still can’t get over it as he also participated in K-Pop boy group NCT 127’s “Walk” Dance Challenge.

Reminisce memories

The fan meeting also served as a catch-up moment with the artist who returned to Manila after five years with the first segment, “Beautiful Diary.” It highlighted Jang Kiyong’s commentary on his photos of his military enlistment, first musical, vacation, and roles in “My Roommate is a Gumiho” and “Now We are Breaking Up.” 

Kiyong, who only got to travel to Hawaii for his vacation, was also teased by fans who invited him to their house.

“I’d like to ask for a vacation spot (in the Philippines) but not your house,” he laughingly said.

From the interactive games to the intimate performances, every moment was designed to make the fans feel seen and appreciated. His sincere fan service, combined with his natural charm and talent, turned the evening into an unforgettable experience that left everyone eagerly anticipating his next visit.
