2NE1 Announces Asia Leg of 2024 to 2025 ‘Welcome Back’ World Tour
K-pop legends 2NE1 have officially revealed the dates for the Asia leg of their highly anticipated 2024 to 2025 ‘Welcome Back’ world tour. The iconic quartet will kick off the tour with two back-to-back shows at the Olympic Park Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea, on October 5 and 6, 2024. This comeback marks their first major world tour since disbanding in 2016, bringing together fans from across the globe for a reunion that promises to be unforgettable.
Tickets for the Seoul dates went on sale on August 5 via Interpark Ticket, and the announcement of additional tour stops in Asia has fueled even more excitement. The Asia leg of the tour will take place in November 2024 through February 2025, with concerts scheduled in Manila, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, and Taipei.
In addition to their Asia tour dates, 2NE1 will also perform six shows in Japan, spread between Kobe and Tokyo, starting in late November. The group is expected to announce more dates and regions in the coming months.
2NE1’s Impact on K-pop
Debuting in 2009 under YG Entertainment, 2NE1 quickly became a force to be reckoned with in the K-pop world. Known for their edgy style, powerful vocals, and fierce performances, the group delivered numerous chart-topping hits including ‘Fire,’ ‘I Am The Best,’ and ‘Come Back Home.’ They were instrumental in shaping the global Hallyu wave, becoming one of the most successful K-pop groups of their generation.
Their reunion comes just months after a significant meeting with YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk, where the members engaged in an “extremely meaningful” two-hour discussion, according to the agency. This meeting sparked rumors of a potential comeback, which has now materialized into the ‘Welcome Back’ world tour.
