BURNOUT SYNDROMES rocks the stage with their first-ever concert in Manila

Japanese rock band BURNOUT SYNDROMES, composed of guitarist and vocalist Kazuumi Kumagai, bassist Taiyu Ishikawa, and drummer Takuya Hirose, officially debuted on the Philippine stage last September 5 at The Crossroads Center, Quezon City.

The trio brought their signature high-energy sound to the Filipino fans, filling the venue with loud cheers, good music, and unforgettable moments.

Setting the vibe before the main act, Japanese duo Fuyu, consisting of Fumiya and Yukan, performed some of their songs, namely “Iikot Ang Mundo,” “Sabay,” and “Dream Together,” which gained support from the crowd.

The fans then went wild as BURNOUT SYNDROMES kicked off their concert with anime OSTs, “BLIZZARD” from “Mashiro no Oto” and “Hikariare” from “Haikyu!!,” while encouraging the audience to stand, jump, and scream their hearts out.

They also performed their other hits, including “PHOENIX,” “ORIGAMI,” and “The WORLD is Mine,” to name a few, but one of the main highlights of the night was when they sang the famous “Haikyu!!” OST, “FLY HIGH!!”

To make it even more heartwarming, the band impressed the fans with their rendition of Spyair’s “Imagination,” which is part of their 10th anniversary album, “Haikyu!! × BOS – Shudaika-tachi no Utage,” a special collection of BURNOUT SYNDROMES’ covers of “Haikyu!!” theme songs.

Concluding an incredible night, the trio performed the OST of “Dr. Stone,” “Good Morning [New] World!,” making the fans both energized and emotional as their awaited concert came to an end.

Connection beyond anime

BURNOUT SYNDROMES proved that they are not just the voices and instruments behind the fans’ favorite anime soundtracks, but they are also talented musicians with a wide range, amazing stage presence, and exceptional love for their supporters.

Showing their strong connection with their fans, the concert included several perks, such as photo opportunities and hi-touch sessions, to ensure a full fan experience.

The band members promised to return to the country soon.
