korean drama sold out on you filming locations

Sold Out on You (오늘도 매진했습니다) has been doing two things simultaneously since it dropped on Netflix on April 22, 2026: selling viewers on the chemistry between Chae Won-bin and Ahn Hyo-seop, and quietly making South Korea look like the most beautiful place on earth. The SBS and Netflix romcom follows Dam Ye-jin, an insomniac home shopping host played by Chae Won-bin, as she tracks down Matthew Quail Lee — Ahn Hyo-seop’s perfectionist mushroom farmer in the countryside to close a business deal. What starts as a clash of worlds slowly becomes something warmer, and the filming locations carry a lot of that emotional weight.

The production made smart, deliberate choices. Seoul captures Ye-jin’s high-pressure career life: sleek towers, busy roads, and the kind of lighting that makes ambition look glamorous. The countryside Gangwon Province, Gyeonggi Province, the quieter edges of Korea gives Matthew’s slower world the breathing room it needs. City stress versus village healing. The contrast isn’t accidental.

SBS Broadcasting Centre, Mokdong was one of the most naturally fitting locations in the entire drama. As headquarters of SBS, one of South Korea’s largest private broadcasters, it gave Ye-jin’s world as a shopping host an authenticity that no built set could replicate. Corporate hallways, production floors, the hum of a media industry in motion — it’s all here.

SBS Prism Tower in Sangam handled the glossier corporate scenes. Its modern glass exterior is a production favourite for good reason: it looks expensive without trying, and several polished interior sequences appear to have been filmed here.

Switch22, Yeouido brought Seoul’s finance district into the frame. Yeouido is where serious business happens in this city, and both locations suited executive meetings, formal entrances, and those scenes where characters stare through floor-to-ceiling windows reconsidering everything.

Dangsan Railway Bridge gave the drama one of its strongest visual moments. Spanning the Han River with clear views of the Seoul skyline, the bridge works the way bridges always do in K-dramas — as a place where movement and emotion collide.

Anguk Station Exit 6 and Seosulla-gil added lighter urban texture. The Anguk area blends traditional architecture with trendy cafés, while Seosulla-gil’s Coffee Bay branch provided the kind of relaxed setting where flirting starts disguising itself as coincidence.

UN Village Road and Smith & Wollensky, Hannam-dong covered the luxury side of Seoul. Hannam-dong is where the city’s successful and private residents live, and the polished dining venue added a layer of aspirational glamour to several scenes.

Countryside and Province Locations

Chuncheon, Gangwon Province — Geumsan-ri and surrounding areas is where the drama’s emotional core lives. The roads, village homes, community halls like Geumsan 2-ri Hall and Balsan 1-ri Village Hall, and the quiet lanes of Toetgol-gil and Geumsan-gil collectively form what viewers recognise on screen as Deokpung Village. Chuncheon’s mountain air and rural calm made Matthew’s world feel genuinely different from anything Seoul offers. It’s hard to stay tense in scenery like that, though the characters tried.

Pocheon, Gyeonggi Province handled the farming sequences with particular effectiveness. Naengjeong-ri farm roads, Chanumul-gil, and Gwanin Elementary School provided open agricultural landscapes that made the white flower mushroom storyline feel grounded. Wide fields, honest light, and the kind of quiet that Seoul never quite manages.

Grand Hyatt Incheon handled premium hotel scenes. The Grand Hyatt added the polished hotel backdrop that those moments demand.

What stood out to viewers and what comments across online communities kept returning to was that the locations never felt chosen for aesthetic convenience alone. Seoul scenes push, pressure, and dazzle. The countryside scenes slow everything down and make honesty feel possible. The contrast mirrors exactly what happens between Ye-jin and Matthew: two people from different worlds gradually realising that the other one makes their world make more sense.
