Dua Lipa’s Road To ‘Radical Optimism’ in Glorietta

Dua Lipa, an award-winning global popstar, has released her third album, Radical Optimism, to tremendous praise. This upcoming weekend, Filipino enthusiasts will have the opportunity to experience the album in an unprecedented manner at the Glorietta Activity Center through an interactive Radical Optimism Pop-Up.

A Dance-inducing Masterpiece

The album Radical Optimism establishes its genre early on with the addicting “End Of An Era,” the energizing “Training Season,” and the ebullient, club-ready “Houdini.” This album contains eleven songs that will inspire anyone to get immersed in the music and groove.

Dua characterizes Radical Optimism as “psychedelic pop,” highlighting its “various sounds and musical interludes” that “create a visual experience when listened to with the eyes closed.”

Dua’s own self-discovery inspired the album, which expresses the pure satisfaction and happiness of finding clarity in situations that previously seemed difficult to confront. It is a musical depiction of how difficult farewells and tumultuous beginnings can transform into turning points if one chooses to see the positive. “It struck me—the notion of gracefully navigating chaos while feeling as though you could weather any storm,” she divulged.

Rolling Stone dubbed this album “pop bliss,” describing it as “uniquely and utterly Dua Lipa: confident dance pop full of witty Instagram-caption-ready one-liners.”

Dua recently returned to Saturday Night Live, where she served as both host and musical guest. She delivered an amazing performance of “Illusion,” followed by a passionate rendition of “Happy For You.”

Dua has recently revealed the first round of tour dates in support of Radical Optimism, with gigs in Berlin, Pula, and Nimes taking place in June. Additionally, Dua will make her Pyramid Stage debut as the Friday night headliner at this year’s Glastonbury Festival on June 28th.
