McDonald’s is teaming up with K-pop superstar G-Dragon for a major regional campaign that will roll out across 13 Asian markets, bringing together music, fashion, food, and Korean culture.

McDonald’s Korea announced that the campaign will begin in South Korea on September 17 before expanding to other markets across Asia. G-Dragon will serve as the face of the campaign, which will also include limited-edition merchandise created in collaboration with his fashion label, PEACEMINUSONE.

The partnership brings together two globally recognized names. G-Dragon has built a reputation beyond music through his influence on fashion, art, and popular culture, while McDonald’s continues to maintain a wide international following.

Gochujang Takes Center Stage

A key feature of the campaign will be special menu offerings inspired by gochujang, Korea’s fermented red pepper paste.

All 13 participating markets will incorporate a gochujang butter sauce developed by McDonald’s Korea. In some locations, the word “gochujang” will also appear directly in the names of the featured menu items.

In South Korea, McDonald’s will introduce the McCrispy Gochujang Butter and McSpicy Gochujang Butter on September 17.

Both items pair their respective chicken patties with the new gochujang butter sauce, creating a mix of savory, buttery, and spicy flavors. Customers will also be able to order the sauce separately as a dipping option.

McDonald’s Teams Up With PEACEMINUSONE

The collaboration will extend beyond food with the release of exclusive merchandise designed with G-Dragon’s PEACEMINUSONE brand.

McDonald’s Korea has yet to reveal the specific products that will be included in the collection. However, the company said the merchandise will combine elements from both brands and give fans another way to experience the collaboration beyond McDonald’s restaurants.

The campaign also marks a notable milestone for McDonald’s Korea, as the initiative was developed locally before being prepared for a broader Asian rollout.

“The campaign is especially meaningful because it was planned by McDonald’s Korea and will be launched across Asia,” a McDonald’s Korea official said.

The company added that it hopes the partnership will give customers across the region an opportunity to experience Korean culture while enjoying McDonald’s signature “Feel Good Moments.”
