K-drama Revenge film ‘Ballerina’ premieres October on Netflix
Netflix recently unveiled the official trailer for its upcoming South Korean thriller, Ballerina, featuring Jeon Jong-seo, renowned for her role in Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area.
In Ballerina, viewers will be immersed in the gripping tale of Ok-ju (played by Jeon Jong-seo), a former bodyguard who embarks on a relentless quest for vengeance and retribution against Choi Pro (portrayed by Kim Ji-hoon from Money Heist: Korea), the individual responsible for the tragic demise of her dear friend, the ballerina Min-hee (brought to life by Park Yu-rim, known for her role in Miraculous Brothers).
The newly released Ballerina trailer opens with an evocative voiceover from Ok-ju, reminiscing about Min-hee: “You know my friend? The one who does ballet? She died.” Subsequently, the trailer unfolds with Ok-ju receiving a foreboding package from Min-hee, containing a poignant note that reads: “Please get revenge for me!”
Soon, we are introduced to Choi Pro through a montage showcasing his intense workouts and displays of strength. Ok-ju’s voiceover interjects, declaring, “ “There’s something I need to do,” followed by a scene that captures her loading a firearm, setting the tone for the relentless pursuit ahead. “Something like hunting,” she remarks.
The trailer proceeds to vividly depict the depths to which Ok-ju is prepared to plunge in her quest to avenge Min-hee, portrayed through a series of heart-pounding combat sequences. She firmly declares, “I’ll hunt you down all the way to hell. Don’t you remember me? It’s me. The ballerina.”
As viewers anticipate the release of this South Korean thriller, the trailer serves as an enticing glimpse into the high-stakes world of Ok-ju and her relentless quest for retribution in the name of her fallen friend, the ballerina Min-hee.
