Philippine Airlines All-Female Flight Goes To GUAM
In honour of International Women’s Month, Philippine Airlines (PAL) operated flights PR110 from Manila to Guam on March 22 and PR111 from Guam to Manila on March 24 with an all-female crew. Capt. Emmie Inciong-Ragasa was responsible for the flight to Guam, and First Officer Lilybeth Tan-Ng supported her.
FA Gladys Lim, FA Frances Anne Alindogan, FA Verona Rae Salangsang, FA Ana Beatriz Alvarez, and FA Pamela Jaine Sta. Ana were all members of the all-female cabin crew team, which Flight Purser Edrose Mae Tang headed. Tomorrow, March 24, Capt. Hidelina Patrimonio and FO Lilybeth Tan Ng will pilot the flight to Manila via PR111.
PAL Guam and the Guam Airport Authority planned a water salute to welcome flight PR110 when it arrived at Guam International Airport.
Philippine Airlines (PAL) sent an all-female flight crew to the Global Women’s Forum, which was held at the Guam Airport. FO Tan-Ng, also PAL’s AVP for Pilot Affairs, gave a speech there declaring that “Philippine Airlines is an equal opportunity company.” The inclusive work environment at PAL has given female employees the confidence to contribute their ideas, skills, and creativity to the organization’s success.
“What an excellent way to honour women’s empowerment. When asked to summarise the historic flight journey, she joked, “Our all-female flight is an inspirational and exhilarating experience.
She made the joke, “We – as women – do not exist in a box,” as part of her empowering speech. The difficulties of the day force us to evolve. We are robust and adaptable. We stand with one another as women and live harmoniously with everyone else. We embrace diversity.
