Groove to Barbie the Album: Exclusive Dance Blowout Party

It’s no secret that the soundtrack for Barbie the Movie has also generated considerable anticipation. The songs featured throughout the film have been unveiled one by one, ranging from Dua Lipa’s electrifying “Dance the Night” to Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice’s “Barbie World,” an iconic cover of Aqua’s “Barbie Girl.”

Another exciting addition to Barbie the Album is the high-energy track “Barbie Dreams” by K-Pop group FIFTY FIFTY, which also features Atlanta-bred rapper Kaliii. The track features an interpolation of Janet Jackson’s “Together Again,” lending a touch of nostalgic appeal.

With such a diverse and accomplished group of artists, it’s no surprise that the film’s soundtrack contributes to its popularity. Filipino fans eager to hear the entire Barbie the Album are in luck, as Warner Music Philippines is teaming up with the Studio Dance Club to host an album pre-release Dance Blowout Party! This event is scheduled for 20 July 2023, 7 p.m., a day before Barbie’s international premiere.

Barbie’s night out

Five dance instructors will teach all the Barbies and Kens to dance to the album’s tracks, allowing guests to perform all night. Everyone is encouraged to wear their finest Barbiecore or Ken-ergy attire, which will complement the venue’s Barbie-inspired décor.

All attendees will have access to Barbie and Ken-themed beverages, and a complimentary dinner will be provided. A photo area inspired by Dua Lipa’s ‘Dance the Night’ music video will also be set up.

It’s a Barbie world!

Those unable to attend the dance party can still participate in other Barbie-themed activities. One is the BarbieLand installation in the SM Mall of Asia Atrium, where visitors can enter Barbie’s universe. This includes life-sized displays, Barbie-themed donuts and beverages, and a mirror-and-jukebox setup for singing along to the album’s trendiest unreleased tracks while taking fabulous photos.

In addition, an advanced screening of Barbie the Movie will take place alongside the Divine Divas – Precious Paula Nicole, Vias Deluxe, and Brigiding. This dazzling trio will perform the album’s unreleased tracks, adding to the enthusiasm already generated by the Barbie movie.

The worldwide premiere of Barbie the Movie is on July 21, 2023, and the Philippine premiere is on July 19, 2023. The deluxe version of Barbie the Album is scheduled for release on July 28, 2023.
