Imago, Ebe Dancel release comeback single Magbabalik

Ending 2023 on a high note, Imago has released a revival single titled “Magbabalik” that features Ebe Dancel, one of the finest vocalists in OPM at the moment.

A significant milestone is reached for Imago with the introduction of their new vocalist, erstwhile solo artist Kurei, who is also a member of Soupstar Entertainment, on their most recent masterpiece.

Composed by the exceptionally gifted bassist of Imago, Myrene Academia, “Magbabalik” delves into the profound themes of redemption and loss. According to Myrene, during the creation of the demo for ‘Magbabalik,’ they considered it an excellent idea to invite Ebe to collaborate with Kurei on the vocals. The subject matter of the composition is loss. Certain instances require patience before they reappear. Or, when you lose something, it just makes room for something better.”

It was a natural match for the band to collaborate with the former Sugarfree frontman, one of the nation’s foremost vocalists. Imago conveyed their appreciation by stating, “Ebe graciously agreed to the collaboration when we inquired about it. According to the ensemble, Ebe is among the finest vocalists in the area, and our friendship with him is a blessing. We are delighted that he has contributed more emotion to the single.
