South Korean indie-rock band JANNABI debuts on the Philippine stage at the “K-Culture Next Door: 2024 Korea Festival” opening on Saturday, May 4.

The Music Hall of SM Mall of Asia is filled with fans and JANNABI matched their good energy through their first song “TOGETHER!” which was famous for Huisoo’s Cheer on Playlist for the Disney+ action fantasy series “Moving.”

Overall mood shifted to a melodramatic feeling accompanied by strong instrumentals through “Summer”, “Good Good Night,” and “for lovers who hesitate.”

The heat is on with the band’s performance of “Baby I Need You” and “Tell Me” empowered also by the interactive vocals with fans.

JANNABI (잔나비) debuted in 2014 under Peponi Music with current members Choi Jung Hoon (vocals), Kim Do Hyung (guitar), and Jang Kyung Jun (bass guitar).

Their name translates to monkey embodied their name by encouraging their fans to sit, jump, swing, and on top of all have fun during “Colorful,” “Jungle” and their charismatic cover of “What’s Up?” by 4 Non Blondes.

After their first performance in the Philippines, they are already looking forward to performing more for their fans.

The “K-Culture Next Door: 2024 Korea Festival” is organized by the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines (KCC) from May 4 and 5.
