BABYMONSTER Brings Powerful Performances and Solo Stages to CHOOM Manila

BABYMONSTER successfully wrapped up their first-ever concert in the Philippines on September 5, 2026, bringing their “CHOOM” World Tour to the SM Mall of Asia Arena. The Saturday night show drew a packed crowd of fans eager to see the group perform live for the first time in Manila.

Members Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rora, and Chiquita opened the night with the hip-hop-driven “WE GO UP,” taking the stage with handheld microphones and immediately putting their vocals and performance skills front and center. Rami, who has temporarily paused activities due to health reasons, was absent from the Manila show.

There was no warm-up period. The group went straight into “CHOOM,” the title track off their new EP, then “BATTER UP” and “DRIP,” one after another, barely stopping to catch their breath, and they sounded just as good live as they do in the studio. Once the high-energy opening was done, they eased off for a moment and simply smiled and greeted the crowd.

Next came a medley of fan favorites, including new song “MOON,” the beloved “CLIK CLAK,” and viral hits “SHEESH” and “PSYCHO.” The energy never dipped.

Solo Stages Put Each Member in the Spotlight

One of the evening’s strongest sections came through the members’ individual cover stages.

Rather than simply recreating familiar tracks, each performer approached her song with a distinct personality.

Rora revisited Camila Cabello’s “Havana,” a song she had previously covered during her trainee years, offering longtime fans a reminder of how far she has come since then.

Asa performed Baauer’s “Temple,” adding touches that reflected her Japanese roots, while Pharita brought a playful energy to Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass.”

Chiquita took over the stage with Fifth Harmony’s “Worth It,” commanding attention on her own before Ruka delivered a confident performance of Skrillex, Missy Elliott, and Mr. Oizo’s “RATATA.” Her forceful rap delivery carried the kind of swagger long associated with YG Entertainment’s performance-driven artists.

Ahyeon closed the solo section with Ariana Grande’s “Problem,” giving the audience another opportunity to hear the vocal power that has become one of her signatures.

After that, the show slowed down for a ballad medley of “Stuck In The Middle,” “Love, Maybe,” and “DREAM,” letting the members show off their vocals, before picking the energy back up with “LOCKED IN,” “Really Like You,” “BILLIONAIRE,” “FOREVER,” “WILD,” “HOT SAUCE,” “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA” and “I LIKE IT.”

The members were reportedly closely involved in putting this show together, from picking the songs to shaping the staging, and it showed. This didn’t feel like a concert built only for cameras. It felt like a concert the members wanted to enjoy too, alongside everyone who showed up to watch them.

YG Entertainment’s experience running large tours was also on full display. A live band powerful enough to shake the whole arena, along with fog, lasers and lighting timed perfectly to the music, gave the show real scale. It’s the kind of production the label is known for, one that gives its artists room to truly let loose on stage.

The night wrapped up with a one more round of “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA,” a closing run built entirely on-stage presence.

What this Manila show really proves is that BABYMONSTER is moving faster than almost anyone else in the industry right now. This was the group’s first time performing in the Philippines, arriving just two years and five months after their debut.
