MY FIRST STORY Is Finally Coming to Manila for their Asia Tour this July

Filipino J-rock fans, your time has finally come! After years of waiting, Manila is set to open a new chapter as PULP Live World brings MY FIRST STORY to the Philippines for the first time.
The MY FIRST STORY ASIA TOUR 2025 in MANILA is happening on July 24, 2025 at the New Frontier Theater.

Formed in Shibuya, Tokyo in 2011, MY FIRST STORY built their reputation with a sound that blends post-hardcore, melodic rock, and raw lyrics. The band is fronted by Hiroki “Hiro” Moriuchi, younger brother of ONE OK ROCK’s Takahiro Moriuchi and son of two well-known Japanese singers. Joining him are guitarist Teruki “Teru” Nishizawa, drummer Shohei “Kidz” Sasaki, bassist Nobuaki “Nob” Katou, and co-founder Sho Tsuchiya. Although Tsuchiya has been on hiatus since 2015, his influence as a songwriter and producer still shapes the band’s sound.

MY FIRST STORY made their mark early. Their self-titled debut sold over 20,000 copies and earned them a “Next Break Artist” nomination at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards Japan. Albums like Antithese (2016) and S·S·S (2020) reached #4 on the Oricon Singles Chart and broke into Billboard Japan’s Hot 100. Their 2020 release V became their highest-charting album, reaching #2 on Oricon and #3 on Billboard Japan. Their 10th anniversary album X also ranked in the top ten. In 2023, their track I’m a Mess received the “Best Lyricist Award” at the Japan Record Awards.

Beyond the charts, the band has played sold-out shows and major festivals across Japan. Their songs have been featured in games like PS4’s Let It Die and SEGA’s Hortensia Saga, and anime series like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba where they worked alongside HYDE. Their music also appeared in TV dramas like Nobunaga Concerto and films like Shinjuku Swan II.

Tracks like 不可逆リプレイス (Fukagyaku Replace), ALONE, and Missing You have left a lasting impression on fans. Newer songs like Break It Down and メリーゴーランド (Merry-Go-Round) show the band’s growth and ability to connect with new listeners.

For one night only, Manila will get to experience MY FIRST STORY live. Expect a setlist covering more than a decade of their music.
