Real Friends to Play First Show in Manila This August

American emo/pop-punk band Real Friends is performing in Manila for the first time on August 15, 2025 at Bar IX in Molito, Alabang. The show is part of their Southeast Asia Tour 2025 and is presented by Collective Touring. Jakarta-based band Summerlane will open the night.
Formed in 2010 in Tinley Park, Illinois, Real Friends is known for their emotional lyrics and guitar-driven sound. The band has built a steady following over the years, with more than 150 million streams and a strong fanbase worldwide.

This tour will be their first in Southeast Asia with vocalist Cody Muraro, who joined in 2020. He’ll be joined by Dave Knox (guitar), Kyle Fasel (bass and lyrics), Eric Haines (guitar), and Brian Blake (drums). The band will perform tracks from their 2024 album Blue Hour, released under their independent label Midwest Trash.
“Blue Hour is our most personal work to date,” says bassist Kyle Fasel. “We want these songs to connect with people in whatever moment they’re in.” The album explores topics like grief and personal growth, with songs such as Waiting Room and Our Love Was Like a Sad Song.
The Manila show will take place at Bar IX in Molito, Alabang on August 15, 2025. Tickets will be available starting May 30, 2025 at 12 PM through Ticketmelon.com.
