With floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and a cozy ambiance, it has quickly become a must-visit location for locals and tourists alike. Surpassing its predecessor in size, the Suwon library spans from the 4th to the 7th floors, reaching an impressive height of 22 meters.
Stores and Trendy Brands
Shinsegae emphasizes that Starfield Suwon sets itself apart by focusing on the 20s and 30s demographic, moving beyond the family-centric approach of previous Starfield malls. The mall boasts experiential stores, trendy designer outlets, and a variety of food brands, consolidating high-profile offerings that were previously scattered in select Seoul areas.
Entertainment and Activities
The mall caters to diverse interests with innovative spaces like “Smob,” an upgraded experiential sports area, and the luxurious “Concord Fitness Club” offering 5-star hotel-grade services. Starfield Suwon also introduced “Vinyl Starfield Suwon,” where patrons can enjoy coffee while listening to tunes from a collection of over 10,000 vinyl records.
Addressing the culinary and sweet tooth desires of the youthful crowd, Starfield Suwon houses popular establishments like London Bagel Museum and the soon-to-open Knotted Donuts. Recognizing the increasing number of pet owners in the country, the mall has dedicated spaces such as a rooftop pet park and a ground-floor Dalmatian restaurant offering pet-friendly dining experiences.
Shinsegae Group aims to leverage its traditional offline retail expertise in the face of online competition. The decision to create mixed-use shopping complexes like Starfield Suwon aligns with the growing demand for comprehensive shopping experiences within a single facility. Vice Chairman Chung Yong-jin expressed the company’s commitment to providing a space where young customers can not only shop but also engage in physical activities.
