The Script set to hold ‘Satellites World Tour’ Concert in Manila this February 2025
Having achieved over 10 billion streams, 12 million album sales, six #1 albums in the UK, and two Platinum-certified US singles, the multi-awarded and platinum-selling Irish band THE SCRIPT is returning to Manila on February 11, 2025, at the Araneta Coliseum, with their SATELLITES WORLD TOUR. Presented by Wilbros Live and Midas Promotions.
The group is prepared to embark on a tour and perform on significant stages on their own, following their reunion for select concerts with The Script family in 2023. They will perform for more than two million fans worldwide this year and the following year. From their six studio albums, including “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved,” “Breakeven,” “For The First Time,” “Hall of Fame,” and “Superheroes,” to their eagerly awaited new album “Satellites,” which features the brand-new hit song “Both Ways,” The Script will perform their greatest hits and fan favorites.
Drummer Glen Power reflects on the band’s journey, stating, “We’re The Script, and now we have something to prove: that there is life and light after the darkness.” In a heartfelt tribute to their late friend and bandmate Mark Sheehan, vocalist Danny O’Donoghue returned to the studio with a renewed sense of purpose, experimenting and creating what would become ‘Satellites’—an uplifting collection of songs that honor their past while forging a new path forward. Although Mark is no longer physically with them, his presence continues to be felt in everything they do.
Danny elaborates, “The album cover features silhouettes of me, Glen, and Ben Sargeant, our bassist… Then we have a hooded silhouette, because the air of Mark is still there. He always will be, but it’s also giving a tip of the hat to the future. It’ll never be the same Script. We’re just trying to get on and do what we all feel is the next right thing to do, and that’s to keep making more great music.”
