About GAYLE:
GAYLE, a 19-year-old singer/songwriter, released her debut EP, a study of the human experience volume one, which captures the tension between longing for connection and fearing vulnerability, as well as the risk and thrill of not compromising one’s own needs.
In early 2022, the six-track release introduced “abcdefu,” a double-platinum hit that dominated the #1 spot on Top 40 radio for three consecutive weeks, ruled the Billboard Global 200 for nine weeks straight, reached the top 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and catapulted the Nashville-based artist to significant achievements. These achievements include her first-ever GRAMMY Award nomination in the esteemed “Song of the Year” category, recognition as a finalist for the Billboard Music Awards, as well as nominations for the American Music Awards and People’s Choice Awards in the “New Artist of the Year” category. Additionally, she secured 2 MTV VMA nominations, a Kid’s Choice Award nomination, and earned a coveted spot on the NSAI Award’s “10 Songs I Wish I’d Written” list.
GAYLE’s second EP, “A Study of the Human Experience Volume Two,” builds on her previous success by revealing more of her inner world and establishing her as a unique and captivating songwriter.
Her major-label debut, “abcdefu,” has over two billion streams. She has appeared on major TV shows like “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and earned accolades such as appearing on Billboard’s “21 Under 21” list and Variety’s “Power of Young Hollywood Impact Report” for 2022. She has also been named a YouTube Artist On The Rise and an MTV Global Push Artist.
With tours that support Taylor Swift and P!GAYLE, who has toured with Tate McRae and AJR and performed with pop-punk titans My Chemical Romance, strives for “messy imperfection” in all of her live acts.
“I truly believe that music is a unifying force, and I want to give people the space to be completely themselves and to see that there are other people in the world who feel the same way they do,” she says. And as she’s witnessed repeatedly in the past year, there’s a certain undeniable power in fully owning and accepting your truth.
“My songs tend to come from being uncomfortable with what I’m feeling and not wanting to focus on it, but then getting to the point where I just need to get it all out,” she says. “If my music can help other people to make better sense of themselves, to come to terms with who they are and what they’re feeling, then that means the world to me.”
