Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, her upcoming concert in Manila, supposedly part of a tour commemorating the 25th anniversary of her album, was initially planned to take place at the SM MOA Arena in April 2020 but has since been rescheduled for December 2021 and November 2022.

About Alanis Morissette

Jagged Little Pill captured the Mid-1990s zeitgeist by bridging the boundary between Gen-X cynicism and self-realization. It was pitched between glam mainstream pop and angst-filled alternative rock. This album spawned a streak of Top 10 hits, including “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” and “Ironic.”

In addition, the album won five Grammys, including Album of the Year. The album was placed number sixty-nine on Rolling Stone’s list of the five hundred best albums of all time,” making Morissette, at age 21, the youngest musician ever to receive the prestigious award.

Morissette won seven Grammys and received fourteen nominations. You Learn, Mary Jane, Head Over Feet, Uninvited, All I Really Want, Forgiven, Thank You, Perfect, Right Through You, and Wake Up are among her finest songs.

And since 1995, she has become one of the most influential singer-songwriters in modern music. Her songs and performances have garnered global acclaim for their profound expressiveness. Nine more varied and renowned albums followed 1995’s Jagged Little Pill by Morissette. She composed music for theatrical releases and appeared in major and minor motion pictures.

Aside from the entertainment industry, she staunchly supports female empowerment and spiritual, psychological, and physical health. Alanis Morissette debuted Conversation with Alanis Morissette in 2016, a monthly podcast including interviews with renowned authors, doctors, educators, and therapists on a broad spectrum of psychosocial issues ranging from spirituality to developmentalism to art.

The musical “JAGGED LITTLE PILL” debuted on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre in NYC on December 5, 2019. The show was nominated for 15 Tony Awards in the 2021 ceremony and won two. Alanis released her eighth studio album, Such Pretty Forks In The Road, to excellent reviews in July 2020. Alanis kicked off her sold-out global tour commemorating 25 years of Jagged Little Pill in August 2021.

The tour sold over 500,000 tickets and became the number one female-fronted tour and one of the top worldwide tours of 2021. Alanis also stars in the Fox comedy series “The Great North,” which returned for its third season in 2022.
