Rex Orange County Makes an AMAZING Return to Manila with Exclusive Asia Show

Fans definitely didn’t stay at home and instead headed to the SM Mall of Asia Arena last August 20 for Rex Orange County’s Exclusive Asia Show, as the night was truly AMAZING!

MOA Arena was packed with fans who had been eagerly waiting for their favorite artist, British singer-songwriter Rex Orange County, who returned to Manila three years after his last visit in 2023.

Joining in on the fun were Filipino solo artist Maki and band Over October, who both delivered memorable performances that night.

Rex Orange County kicked off his long-awaited set with “Television / So Far So Good,” immediately hyping up the crowd and drawing cheers from the fans. The Manila crowd was incredibly loud, with everyone singing along to every lyric of the song. He kept the momentum going with performances of “AMAZING” and “The Shade.”

“Manila, what’s going on? My name is Rex Orange County,” he said as he greeted his fans. “Are you ready to have a fantastic evening with me?” he asked, receiving a resounding “yes” from the crowd, followed by loud cheers. He then continued the set with “Never Enough,” “ONE IN A MILLION,” and “Face to Face.”

The singer-songwriter then treated fans to a performance of “Indecision,” his collaboration with Daniel Caesar, which had been released just a day before the show. The performance marked the song’s first live performance.

“I know from the last show that people in Manila know how to sing extremely loud,” he said, reminiscing about his previous concert, before asking the fans if they could do it again this time. And they did not disappoint. As soon as he played “Pluto Projector,” the fans sang along while their phone flashlights lit up the venue, turning MOA Arena orange. He continued his set with “Belly (The Grass Stains),” “Untitled,” “Corduroy Dreams,” “Rearrange My World,” and an unreleased track titled “Boyfriend.”

The night wasn’t over yet as Rex Orange County poured his heart out during his performance of “Always.” The Manila crowd received another special treat as he performed “Take A Drive,” marking another first live performance of the song. He kept the energy going with fan-favorite tracks “Loving Is Easy,” “Sunflower,” and “Best Friend,” which became one of the highlights of the night as the crowd’s energy reached its peak. He closed the set with Happiness.

“Manila! Thank you for having us tonight! And I promise I will be back to play more songs for you,” he said. “I love you so much, Manila,” he added.

The crowd’s enthusiasm continued as they chanted “isa pa!” meaning “one more time,” successfully bringing Rex Orange County and his band back on stage for an encore performance of “4 Seasons.”
