Gehlee Dangca Secures Spot in ‘Universe Ticket,’ A New Global K-Pop Group UNIS

Gehlee Dangca has secured a fourth debut spot in the highly anticipated girl group UNIS, formed under the acclaimed South Korean survival show “Universe Ticket,” in a groundbreaking finale that has shocked the K-pop community. As a result of her popularity and fan support, the 16-year-old Filipino winner received 2.4 million votes on the show.

She will be joined by fellow Filipino talent Elisia Parmisano, who has also been named a member of the new eight-member global K-Pop group UNIS under F&F Entertainment. As well as Jin Hyeonju, 22-year-old half-Filipina Jin Hyeonju was also triumphant in getting onto the stellar lineup. She is also a member of the K-pop girl group Cignature as Belle.

With its premiere on November 18, 2023, the show has captivated audiences worldwide, providing a platform for 82 aspiring idols to compete for stardom.

With the K-pop scene continuing to evolve, Gehlee Dangca and Elisia Parmisano’s UNIS debut is sure to be a memorable one.

Univers Records Philippines and StarHorizon TV Productions paved Gehlee’s dream for a K-Pop debut as a Universe Ticket trainee and were very excited to express their pride and honor at finally seeing her dream come true. Gehlee thanked everyone who supported and voted for her in a short video.

The current members of UNIS are Elisia (PH), Yunha (South Korea), Nana (Japan), Gehlee (PH), Seowon (South Korea), Yoona (South Korea), and Kotoko (Japan). This will be the first K-Pop group with full-blooded Filipina members.
