Home Credit Philippines Wins Silver at the 60th Anvil Awards for Outstanding PR Event

Home Credit Philippines (HCPH), a leading consumer finance company in the country, secured a Silver Anvil Award at the prestigious 60th Anvil Awards. The recognition was given under the Public Relations Tools Category (Special Events) for its impactful press event, “Unlocking a New Decade of Credit Opportunities for Filipinos.”
This achievement highlights Home Credit’s dedication to providing innovative financial solutions that empower Filipino families. Held on May 13, 2024, the award-winning event marked a significant milestone as the company entered its second decade of operations in the Philippines.
The highly successful press event brought together over 100 journalists and bloggers, resulting in widespread media coverage across print, online, and broadcast platforms. This extensive reach reinforced Home Credit’s commitment to making essential commodities and high-value products more accessible to Filipinos through 0% interest installment plans.
Additionally, the event featured exhibits from Home Credit’s trusted retail partners, including Abenson, Acer, Cellboy, Digimap, Imperial Appliance Plaza, Octagon, Power Mac Center, Samsung, and Silicon Valley.
Sheila Paul, Chief Marketing Officer of Home Credit Philippines, emphasized the importance of this recognition in advancing the company’s mission.
“This award is a testament to our commitment to making essential products and aspirations within reach for our customers,” said Paul. “Through our year-round campaigns such as Summer, Back-to-School, and Holiday, we continuously offer Filipinos the opportunity to enjoy incredible deals, including 0% interest installment plans during peak shopping seasons. We remain dedicated to delivering innovative financial solutions that uplift and empower Filipino families.”
The event’s success extended beyond media recognition, generating remarkable results in visibility, engagement, and cost efficiency. It strengthened HCPH’s presence across multiple sectors, reinforcing the company’s mission to enhance financial accessibility nationwide.
One of the most notable success stories showcased during the event was Home Credit’s Summer Campaign, which drove significant demand for cooling appliances. The 0% interest financing option led to the sale of over 1,000 air-conditioning units daily, offering much-needed relief to Filipino households during the scorching summer months.
The event also underscored how Home Credit’s installment plans make high-end products, such as iPhones, more attainable. In 2023 alone, the company financed 12.5 million mobile phones, generating ₱30 billion in sales—with ₱6 billion coming from iPhones.
Beyond consumer electronics, Home Credit’s financing options span a diverse range of products, including televisions, computers, e-bikes, and medical equipment. The company has also enhanced its digital presence through Shoppingmall.ph, an online marketplace featuring over 50,000 deals from more than 500 merchant partners nationwide.
Michael Dugenia, Managing Partner at DM&A Co., the marketing communications firm behind the event, described the initiative as a celebration of Home Credit’s long-standing mission.
“This event was more than just a press gathering—it was a celebration of Home Credit’s decade-long journey of empowering Filipino families,” said Dugenia. “We take pride in crafting campaigns that not only tell Home Credit’s inspiring story but also forge meaningful connections with their customers.”
This Silver Anvil Award marks the second recognition for both Home Credit and DM&A Co., following their Silver Anvil win in 2023 for the Back-to-School campaign. Their continued success underscores a results-driven partnership centered on creative and impactful audience engagement.
The Anvil Awards, now in its 60th year, is regarded as the gold standard for public relations excellence in the Philippines. Organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), it honors campaigns that showcase outstanding creativity and effectiveness.
The 60th Anvil Awards, held on January 28, 2025, at The Manila Hotel, celebrated the most exemplary PR campaigns in the country, further cementing Home Credit’s reputation as a leader in innovative financial solutions.
