About Lee Jong Suk

In 2005, Lee Jong Suk became the youngest male model for the Seoul Collection program at the Seoul Fashion Week. He was only 15 years old. Since then, he has walked in several fashion shows and has become a well-known model. A few years later, Jong Suk made his acting debut in the South Korean TV show “Prosecutor Princess” in 2010.

That same year, he appeared in the horror film “Ghost.” Soon after that, his career took off when he played the musical genius and young composer Han Tae-Sun on the hit South Korean TV show “Secret Garden.” He became even more popular after playing the charming high school student Go Nam Soon in the hit teen romantic drama “School 2013.” This role also won him his first acting award for Best New Actor at the 2012 KBS Drama Awards.

After “School 2013” did well, Lee Jong Suk was praised. For his role in the critically acclaimed series “I Can Hear Your Voice,” he won an Excellence in the male category at the 2013 Korea Drama Awards. Jong Suk’s career is going up and up as he keeps getting roles in TV shows and movies. In the 2013 hit movie “No Breathing,” he played the tense and competitive national swimmer Jung Woo Sang.

Also, some of his most famous k-drama include the popular 2014 series “Doctor Stranger,” in which he played Park Hoon, a North Korean defector who works as a doctor in South Korea, the film “Hot Young Blood,” in which he played a cheesy womanizer named Joong Gil, and his first lead role in the TV series “Pinocchio,” in which he played Choi Dal Po, a fair and honest news reporter. His work in “Pinocchio” was so good that he got a lot of praise and awards, like the Grimae Award for Best Actor.

In 2016, Lee Jong Suk played the lead role in the popular fantasy-thriller TV series “W” with Han Hyo Joo. He played Kang Cheol, the CEO of a broadcasting network which is both angry and attractive. Due to how popular the drama was and how well Jong Suk did, he won the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the MBC Drama Awards in the same year, adding to his list of awards.

He was in the 2017 TV show “While You Were Sleeping” with Bae Suzy, which shows his success, as well as 2022 “Big mouth” with Yoona . Additionally, the Korea Tourism Organization gave him the title of “Goodwill Ambassador for Korean Tourism” because of his popularity and influence around the world.
