Over sixty percent of all Netflix users watched Korean titles in the past year, demonstrating the increasing popularity of K-content worldwide. In their largest-ever roster of Korean films and series, Netflix will release in 2023 a variety of Korean TV series, films, & unscripted shows, including eye-popping original projects and returning fan favorites.

“The global appeal of K-content has increased rapidly throughout the course of 2022, with Netflix offering a greater selection of storylines and genres to followers across the globe. Over the past year, Korean programs and films have frequently appeared on our Global Top 10 list in more than ninety countries, and three of Netflix’s all-time most-watched series are from Korea. This year, the stories we tell and the manner in which we deliver them are pushed even further. “With this roster of Korean titles, Netflix will continue to be the premier destination for fascinating, diverse, and must-watch Korean narratives,” said Don Kang, Vice President of Content (Korea).

Audiences will become engrossed in their story from the antagonistic first meeting of the two major characters, which is shaped by a misunderstanding and mistrust based on prejudices, to the journey of these two individuals who do not believe in love learning to understand each other. Love to Hate You promises an electric chemistry and a lively, adventurous romance, so there is a great deal of anticipation.

Lee Sang-yi, who captivated audiences with his multifaceted charisma in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, plays Woo-jin, who initially meets Geon-woo as his boxing opponent but ends up working with him. Meanwhile, Park Sung-woong plays the ruthless loan shark Myung-gil, who is solely motivated by money in everything he does, and Heo Jun-ho portrays Mr. Choi. He was once considered a legend among loan sharks, but now lends money to the sick at no interest, bringing gravitas to their on-screen roles. Based on a Naver webcomic with the same name, the series is directed and written by Midnight Runners’ Kim Joo-hwan, who promises invigorating chemistry among the actors and unrestrained action.

Ahn Hyo-seop, who has appeared in Business Proposal, Still 17, and Dr. Romantic 2, plays both Jun-1998 hee’s boyfriend Gu Yeon-jun and his lookalike Nam Si-heon. Jeon Yeo-been reprises his roles as Han Jun-hee and Kwon Min-ju from the Netflix series Glitch and the Netflix feature Night in Paradise, as well as from the Vincenzo series. Jeon Yeo-been gives nuanced performances as two people with identical appearances but diametrically opposed dispositions. Logline: A 350-year-old curse placed on Shin-family yu’s compels him to protect the temple at the base of Onju Mountain. A YouTuber who trespasses the temple dies in an accident, and Hong-jo, a zealous Onju City public officer, stands in front of Shin-yu to demolish the temple. “The centuries-old curse will end. The owner of the wooden box came…” Eun-wol, the shaman who has safely guarded the temple for over sixty years, grants Hong-jo permission to demolish the temple, and Hong-jo acquires the wooden box that was buried deep within the temple. Inside the wooden box is a forbidden manuscript, which gives Shin-yu hope that the spells will liberate him from Hong-curse. jo’s To be close to Hong-jo, he accepts a position as the city’s lawyer. Logline: A true-crime thriller about an everyday woman whose life is turned upside down after she loses her phone with personal information. With the worst conceivable things occurring after the main character loses her phone carrying everything, including her social security number, banking information, and personal details, this film will provide viewers who cannot live without their phones with a sense of eerie reality and fear. Yim Si Wan, who has already proven himself as a great actor with his portrayal as the threatening antagonist in Emergency Declaration, will once again demonstrate his versatility on-screen by portraying Jun-yeong, who commits horrible atrocities after discovering a smartphone. Chun Woo Hee portrays Na-mi, a startup marketer who loses her phone, discovers it, and becomes caught in inconceivable plots.
