Fun Facts About Kim Seon Ho

He wanted to be a doctor when he was young

Born on May 8, 1986 in Seoul, South Korea, the only child once dreamt of going the medical route, but instead he’s been healing the hearts of Seonhohadas with his beautiful Kdramas.

He started as a theater actor

Our multi-awarded actor actually started as a theater actor in 2009, starring in plays such as “New Boeing Boeing”, “Rooftop Cat”, “Sherlock”, “Kiss of the Spider Woman”, and the soldout show “Memory in Dream”. To Seon Ho, his experience acting on the stage where he gets immediate response from the audience honed him into becoming a better actor. It was truly a defining moment in his career.

In 2022, Seon Ho went back to theater with “Touching the Void”, and even donated the full amount of his theater fee to The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association for the victims of Typhoon Hin Thorn Noh. We are stanning a man with a philanthropic heart!

Aside from acting, Kim Seon Ho loves to draw

Kim Seon Ho is a true artist not only onstage or in front of the camera, but also behind a canvas! He took drawing lessons, and would have been an artist if he wasn’t an actor. His favorite art medium? Oil painting!

His other interests include reading comic books, watching movies, and hiking.

Kim Seon Ho was once told he would not last long in this industry

Kim Seon Ho once revealed that when he started acting, he was so bad that people around him predicted that he would quit right away! Thank God he was not a quitter, and instead, worked even harder, took acting classes, and eventually landed in a Kdrama role in 2017 at the age of 32. 

His growth may seem slower than other popular Korean actors, but our humble king will never compare himself with other’s achievements. He has his own path to take, and said that he reached this point in his career at his own pace. Indeed, it’s never too late and age is just a number! Very inspiring!
