SBTown Unveils New Artists at SBTown Family Media Conference
P-pop and K-pop fans, prepare for a night of fun, excitement, cultural exchange, and musical diversity as we commemorate the Philippines and South Korea’s 75th year of friendship with a concert event called SBTown Music Fiesta!
Geong Seong Han, more commonly referred to as Tatang Robin, founded SBTown (Show Biz Town) as the initial PH enterprise. Former television personality, singer-comedian, and member of the South Korean group ‘Cult Triple’, he is also the producer of the most popular P-pop boy group in the Philippines. Recently, SBTown orchestrated the KWAVE Music Festival, a highly successful occasion in which they invited and reunited P-pop and K-pop idols for a single performance that drew tens of thousands of attendees.
Following the announcement of the music celebration, SBTown announces a Media Conference that will take place at the Sheraton Manila Bay on Friday, May 24, 2024.
The Media Conference extends invitations to and showcases an array of emerging K-pop idols and actors in observance of this joyous occasion. Commencing with X:IN, a multinational female group consisting of five members, which made their South Korean debut in April 2024 with the single “Keeping The Fire” and released their inaugural mini album, ‘THE REAL’, this year. Additionally, the five-member South Korean female group Queenz Eye will be introduced. The group made their debut with the single album “Queenz Table” in October 2022. A five-member boy group, DIGNITY, will perform on the SBTown Music Fiesta stage after their pre-debut single ‘Rambo’ debuted in South Korea in September 2022.
Solo performances are also featured by Yu Suhyun, one of three Trot female group ‘MINIMANI’ members from K-pop. Jang Hyeri is a former member of the female group female’s Day and the band bop. She is a South Korean singer. In addition, the SBTown Music Fiesta will feature a special appearance by Kim Ji Soo, a model, actor, and “nation’s second lead” from Korea.
An additional South Korean model and actor, Sang Hyun Lee, more commonly recognised as Danny Lee, will serve as the event’s presenter!
One may also witness their preferred P-pop groups perform live, such as the female power P-pop group YGIG from SBTown, the powerhouse P-pop boy group PLUUS, and their exceptionally talented all-around soloist Darlene. In the pre-show event, Zéla, a Filipino-American singer-songwriter specialising in P-pop, will take the stage after BILIB, an additional P-pop sensation in the making.
Please mark your calendars: the SBTown Music Fiesta is scheduled to take place at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium in Manila City on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 5:00 PM.
Admission is free! This event is organised by SBTown and the Manila Koreatown Association. And made possible by our sponsors—Binggrae, Jinro, BB.Q Chicken, and Eagle 25—so that fans would not miss the opportunity to attend the thrilling and entertaining occasion.
As Tatang Robin mentions, this will be an annual occasion to which Korean actors/actresses and well-known and up-and-coming K-pop idols will be extended invitations in order to provide the K-pop and P-pop communities with an unforgettable, entertaining experience.
Manila Koreatown Association (MAKOTA) and Worldwide Link will award scholarships to students affiliated with the Philippine Expeditionary Force To Korea Veterans Association in observance of the Philippines and South Korea’s 75th anniversary of friendship, as an integral component of the SBTown Music Fiesta holiday celebration.
