Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse World Tour

This holiday season, the Academy Award®-winning film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse will be shown in Manila LIVE in Concert for the very first time. On Saturday, December 30 at 7:00 PM and 3:00 PM, attend the performances at the Samsung Hall, SM Aura Premier. Live presentation by Wilbros.

Presented on an expansive high-definition screen, this animated film masterpiece will be accompanied by an unprecedented fusion of live orchestra, turntables, and percussion instruments performing the score and soundtrack music.

Following a highly anticipated and sold-out global premiere in March at the historic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Live in Concert will expand its global tour to include additional cities.

The audience’s response to the world premiere was overwhelmingly positive, with one member remarking, “Watching it with an incredible live orchestra only enhanced my enjoyment.” and “One of the most extraordinary experiences of my life.”

The unprecedented live performance is revolutionary in its recreation of the film’s score and soundtrack, integrating orchestral components with turntables, a live DJ, and electronic sounds to create a distinctive and audacious live encounter.

Miles Morales, an adolescent from Brooklyn, is introduced in this Sony Pictures Animation film written by Phil Lord and Rothman and directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman. The film also explores the limitless possibilities of the Spider-Verse, where multiple individuals can don the mask.

Academy Award® nominee, numerous Golden Globe® nominee, and Emmy®-winning composer Daniel Pemberton composed the score for the box office smash. Pemberton is renowned for his contributions to films including The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Oceans 8, Enola Holmes, The Bad Guys, and Steve Jobs.

Complimenting the original music that embodies heroism and resiliency in the film’s hip-hop style are compositions by industry heavyweights Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Lil Wayne, and Jaden Smith.

“I consider the score for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse to be among my all-time favorites. “With the help of an incredible turntable scratching technique, a full orchestra, and insane electronics, among a million other things, it is so technically complex that I never thought we’d be able to reproduce it in a live concert, but we have managed to do so,” Pemberton said of the undertaking.

Critics and audiences alike lauded Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse produced by Sony Pictures Animation for its innovative visual aesthetics, compelling storyline, empathetic voice acting, and musical score. The highly anticipated sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, was released in theaters in June 2023.
