Jang Uk’s Development
Due to his birth secret, Jang Uk (Lee Jae-wook) was initially unable to learn magical abilities despite being born into a well known family. Everything changes, however, when he meets his new master. Jang Uk then fights against his predetermined fate and gains new abilities. Jang Uk is a completely different person three years after being brought back to life. We are extremely intrigued to see the new side of Jang Uk in the near future.
The Comeback of Naksu
Naksu (Go Youn-jung) was a powerful sorceress & assassin prior to possessing the body of Mu-deok, a blind woman. From having murderous intent to experiencing love, Naksu undergoes a radical transformation. However, she loses control of her situation, and everything changes. Now, a mysterious woman resembling Naksu has emerged. With this new development, much remains to be understood.
The Relationships
The novel Alchemy of Souls is a satisfying blend of magic, action, comedy, and friendship. All of the various friendships shine brilliantly! The bromance between Jang Uk, , Park Dang-gu (Yoo In-soo), Seo Yul (Hwang Min-hyun), & crown prince Go Won (Shin Seung-ho) is incredibly endearing. In addition, we cannot forget Mu-friendships deok’s with the boys. Will their friendships remain unchanged or evolve?
The love affair
Obviously, romance cannot be omitted. In addition to the enthralling romance between Jang Uk and Naksu, we have many other relationships to root for.
